Has anyone read 'the slow regard of silent things' by Patrick Rothfuss?

Im in middle of it and I'd like to ask some questions about it. It's a short 150 page spinoff of the King Killer Chronicles, which I LOVE, centered around a character from ' a wise man's fear,' Auri.

I thought it was going to be the third in the King killer trilogy and bought it off amazon without reading the summary.. Haven't started it yet but I was definitely disappointmented when it was delivered and I read what it is about lol

I couldnt finish it. Its only 150 pages, and I got around 100 pages in and gave up. The writing is as great as his other books, but it might be one of the worst plot lines I've ever read. The only suspension in the book is when theres a chance something might happen, but then it never does, at least not before page 100, and from what I read of other peoples reviews, not before the book ends. I'm not sorry I bought the book, because I'm happy supporting Rothfuss, but it was just the opposite of what I was hoping to read.

I'm also not suggesting you don't read the book. Who knows? You might like it. But I think a bit of a head's up would have been nice before I started reading it.
