Hey everyone!

The best way to join a community is to get to know each other, so I will tell you a bit about myself!

I am a college student and therefore don't have much time for pleasure reading, so I'm trying to catch up during this summer. Already have the first four books of the A Song of Ice and Fire series down, then I'm moving on to John Green!

Apart from reading, I love adventuring, hiking, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, and finding cool places to just sit down and relax. Most of my days recently have involved going for a morning run, coming home, reading, and chilling with cats.

In college I study finance, information systems, and Spanish. I actually created a website to get a jumpstart on my information systems study, you can find it in my signature. I use it myself to find out how long it will take to read books, and you can too I'm not sure if promoting my website like this is allowed, so please tell me if it isn't and I will take it out of my signature.

I hope I can find a spot in this community!

I'm work in data science and analytics, and I just so happen to feel that information systems and data-related careers are the cat's pajamas. I like your website, it's awesome! The design is super sleek. I haven't read the Game of Thrones books yet, I'm kind of waiting for them to all be out so I can just mainline them one right after the other. I fear I will be waiting quite some time, though...sigh. Anyhow, I look forward to getting to know you better!

I wish I had done that actually. I'm nearing the end of the last one that's been published and I can tell there are going to be so many loose ends. I guess the good news is that GRRM is doing all he can to finish the sixth book before the sixth season of the show starts! There's no hope for the book series to end before the show does though.

I'm loving information systems so far, it seems like I could get a job pretty much anywhere! My accounting professors say that I could work for any accounting software company, my finance professor wants to put me in touch with some contacts at TD Ameritrade, and my Spanish professor says that Spain is due for an information boom in the next few years. I'm excited to see where it takes me.
