Hello! I'm new to the forum and I love reading (obviously)! Though I have read many books in Greek, as I am one too, I have never read a book in English before, although I tried one or two times in the past. Recently I read my first one, it was called Pyrate's Boy and it's written by E.B. Colin. It was good, though I'm sure it can't compare with Treasure Island, which I have read but in Greek.. Anyway, I am currently reading the story of Warhammer 40K that my friend is playing and more specifically the Dark Millennium. I really enjoy fantasy and children's books but I also like poems and classics such as Tom Saywer by Mark Twain and all of the books Jules Verne had written. Okay bye, and hope to post more than that in the future :p:cool:

Welcome to the forum! You speak/write English very well. :) I myself have only read one book in Greek, while I was working on an English degree, and I basically had to look up every word.

Thank you! Which book was it that you read in Greek? I'm curious now, like a cat. Meow! Also, yes, it's very difficult if you don't know the language well enough, so it must have been a real struggle for you to manage to finish it. I admire you!

It was The Odyssey. Our professor wanted us to try to read it in the original Greek. It was definitely a struggle! :)
