All of us here enjoy books, but which genres are the most popular? Take our poll to select your choice(s) and reply to the thread with more details (optional).

I checked Science Fiction, Mystery (in which I'd include Detective/Police Procedural), Historical Fiction, and "other". My "Other" would consist mainly of Literary novels, Faulkner, Nabokov, Banville, Auster and the like.

GrahamM, I'd have to guess anything supernatural might list under Horror. But if you check Other you could define your take on the subject. :)

Mystery, for entertainment.

Poetry, in small doses. Just now Wasteland is blowing me away!

Non-fiction, mainly to keep abreast of popularized physics on where it all came from.

Literary fiction, to kick back and enjoy good writing.

General Fiction, with the occasional Mystery, tossed in for good measure.

Also occasionally, I like a 'Memoir' book.

I know I'm a 29 year old male, but I love young adult novels.

Books like The Outsiders, Holes, Paper Towns, etc.

Maybe I like them because they don't require much thought, which is a nice break from reality for me!
