guys, what do you think is the worst book that was
written by Clancy

for me, number one go to Red Rabbit, I didn't like it
at all, there was no suspense in the book, I didn't care about
the bloody Russian guy, it was so damn easy for him to
pass the information to the Moscow COS , of all the people.

and Jack Ryan, was doing what, giving us a lectures in the Century
and when finally the action start after 600 pages, he was acting like a wimp.

Does this include all the mini-series books like Op-Center as well, or do you just mean his core (mainly Jack Ryan) books?

only the Jack Ryan books, i don't count Op-Center because as
Fenrys said, it not written by Clancy
by the way I do like the Op-Center books, the worldwide
settings make it very interesting.

I'm currently reading his new one, Teeth of the Tiger and tbh it is really dull.

The characters are all relations of Jack Ryan(his two nephews and his son are the main characters) and it just doesnt seem very real at all. Espcially his son, Jack Ryan Jnr. he constantly talks about his mum and dad and people he met through them. Very dull stuff.

And the story is a blatant copy of Spetember the 11th, and what most Americans probably wanted to happen following it. Not recommended at all. :(

I would say that it is natural for everybody to like something different from what the next guy likes. But, alas, there is not much choice.

I always wondered how people could read "Sovetsky Sport" - a magazine filled up with sports events and all such. But tens, if not hundreds thousand read it...

As to "Rabbit" - of course it helped that I'm Russian and know how it was then. Clancy says truth about situation here. Except for several mistakes I've mentioned today his story is OK.

But what has really amazed me: after all explaining about how bad it is to put at risk "an intelligence source", too many CIA people blabbed away all too many unnecessary details of this Rabbit business to other people. I had even thought sometimes that something will go wrong because of that and all the Rabbit family would be killed...
