Hey how do we submit news stories? I clicked on the submit content button and I had to fill out an application to submit a story. I we're a registered user doesn't the site already have all that?

Anyway, it seems like it ought to be easier to submit stories.

Well, I guess if it's a news story on a web-based agency, just post the link and people can visit if they choose. If it's something that you personally wrote, then just cut and paste it from your writing program (Word, WordPerfect) into the box. What are you trying to do?

I don't think it's an application though, is it? Darren's only asking for your name and e-mailaddress. I guess he's just trying to keep track or wants to give credit where credit is due? Like "Prolixic reported that..." or something? I don't know. I'm really just guessing.

That may have sounded like I was griping. I wasn't trying to do so. It just looked like all that data should have already been assigned to the username.

The system which manages the news on the site homepage isn't linked to the forums at the moment. The current news submissions system is a simple form which generates an email, but it tends to get a lot of spam

If anyone wants to write news articles regularly, drop me an email/PM and I could set them up with a news account.

Thanks.

Darren.

Just out of curiosity how often is regularly? Whenever we find something cool and bookish regular or every second Tuesday regular?

To be honest, I hadn't really thought about how regular :)

I guess whenever there's something worth mentioning.

FYI, the link on the home page for "Book News" leads to the "Suggestions and Voting" section in the forums.
