An author named Earnest Vincent Wright wrote an entire story without using the letter E once. It is called "Gadsby".

Wright wrote that it was difficult to introduce "young women" in the story, as he couldn't use any number over six and under thirty.

It's an interesting endeavor. I must admit, I can't even imagine writing a letter without using E.

Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn: a novel where he progressively uses fewer and fewer letters until he is only left with five. Amazing word acrobatics and fun book too.

Eunoia by Christian Bok: hard to place a genre on this one--probably poetry although it doesn't look like it. Each chapter is written with only one vowel. Five chapters, each for one vowel. Fun to see what he does, but not nearly as amusing as Ella Minnow Pea.

I read this a while ago, and absolutely adored it - very, very clever!!
