I've just seen The Machinist, which started out great but had a pretty weak and predictable ending. I liked Christian Bale, though - it's scary how thin he is compared to some of his other films.

And I happened to catch Spike Lee's He Got Game, which I loved when I saw it 6 or 7 years ago, and which I still love today. Very good film. Denzel on form, as ever.

Cheers

i watched In Good Company. it was kinda cute.

i tried to watch Intermission, but, my boyfriend kept pointing out all the things that he would have done differently. Did i miss out on a good film?

desperately trying to get a hold of The Life Aquatic from the video store. It's never there. I might have to buy it. Bill Murray rocks! :D

Bill Murray DOES rock, graydaisy! As do Owen Wilson, Willem Dafoe and Wes Anderson. If you've liked Wes's other flicks, you'll likely get a kick out of this one. But it's definitely not his strongest film - so if you're not a fan, you might not dig it.

i am indeed a fan. i could easily forgive any shortcomings the film might have. Does it get any better than The Royal Tennenbaums? I mean, come on! Wes Anderson is a genius. And, as we both agree, Bill Murray ROCKS. I can't believe I didn't see The Life Aquatic in the theatre.
i just read that Wes Anderson is making Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox into a movie. Check this out. http://movies.about.com/od/moviesinproduction/a/mrfox102904.htm

Bill Murray is good. I think it's a shame he hasn't been in more things. I think he is a very underestimated talent.

Try watching the version of Hamlet he is in... No talent lost there :)

hahaha ummm no :D

Anyway once you have watched Kenneth Branner's movie adaptation of Hamlet nothing else will do :)

are you serious? is there really such a version, and who does he play?
He plays Polonius and from what I could tell he has no idea what he is saying in that movie. Julia Stiles plays Ophelia and together they have less understandig of Shakespeare than me. (which is saying much)

I love Kenneth Brannagh, but I don't think I could sit through Hamlet.

I could die of a heart attack, for instance. Still, I might give it a shot. And if it sucks, I'll just watch Much Ado About Nothing again and wait until all's right with the world again.

You just made my day! Not only do I love Wes Anderson (Tennenbaums is my fave, as well) but Roald Dahl as well. How exciting!

Not so long ago watched Mr&Mrs Smith. Liked. Only annoyance, that it was in russian, in spite of translating(it was very good), I prefer film in original. Even if it's no good enough (I mean my enflish) additional practice ;)
