i totally disagree with this. my sister and i are polar opposites. we are close, but we don't think alike AT ALL and we have completely different tastes. yet we very often have instances where we say or think the exact same thing from out of no where.
i don't think we know enough about the...
i have heard both those points before- but that doesn't stop the feeling from coming on. i do always wonder how scientists come to conclusions like that. i can understand the brain usage conclusion, but how did they test for deja vu?
that's exactly how i feel about all of them. i did read SOS when it came out and i was really really really disappointed. it was almost terrible. might have been good had i not read all the others already.
i'd buy anything from Guy Gavriel Kay. i just read his newest (picked it up spur of the moment) and it was fantastic. i've been looking for an author just like him.
my dreams are always very vivid. sometimes sexy (i talk in my sleep and my husband was CHOKED at me in the morning once), sometimes weird and sometimes totally violent and gory. funny, i can't remember last night's dream, but the night before i had a dream i was sitting in the passenger side of...
i've tried this a few times. my husband and i tried it once when we were bored but it didnt work; however, i have had more than one instance where he's been out and i've pushed my thoughts to him to phone me or come home. a few times that has "worked" in a way that i didn't think it was entirely...
apparently, there's a high amount of abuse. extremely high metabolism can be a strain on your heart (i think) and lead to heart attacks or stroke. i'm too lazy to look into this further, so anyone please correct me if i'm wrong.
disrespect offends me too. it's one of the only things that does, but it's so bloody rampant. good for you giving that pig the whatfor. that kind of behaviour just floors me. i was disrespected at a party once, about 10 years ago. it ended badly for the guy who offended me.
wow- i wouldn't mind some of that stuff. i never bothered looking into it before, but that's a good little product!!! i can see why it would be abused. relief of allergies plus increased metabolism (weight loss).
just finished Colony Girl by Thomas Rayfiel. i was surprised at how well an older man could write about the feelings of a teenage girl. it's a coming of age story (actually, more of a stuck-between-childhood-and-adulthood story) about a girl who lives in a religious colony. not your typical...
i haven't been offended, but i found a post offensive once. such is life. people say and do things that offend. meh. i would say my piece about it but i would never stoop to insults or abandon the forum because of it.
i had always wondered that, too, until one day my husband told me it had to do with bringing troops home safe. something about the end of a military tour of duty or something. now that is really odd- since we live in Canada; however, we are not uh- unfamiliar with the drug trade up here so if...
this surprises and offends me for so many reasons. maybe i shouldn't be so surprised. my opinion is that they should shut up and do their damned jobs. if their religion affects their ability to perform their job then they need a new line of work. they have no right to override a doctor's...
i agree only partially. i found the bond between the wife and her band of survivors to be quite admirable. the women washing eachother on the balcony in the rain was such a beautiful part to read. the fact that the wife stayed with her husband and helped the other people (risking catching the...
yes but i live in Vancouver. we western Canadians are notorious for our relaxed work schedules and easy living lifestyles. to be out of bed that early is craziness around here. :D
OMG- seriously this has to stop! i rec'd that joke last week by email but it was the WIFE who bought the wine and it was a NA MAN she was driving. i was going to post THAT JOKE!
