i appeciate that you play devil's advocate, motokid. i notice you start quite a few threads that pose interesting social questions. when i ever get a chance to visit for longer than 30 mins i will get to putting my 2 cents into as many as i can.
i think it has to do with the sexual content. didn't the main male character in amelie work in a porno shop? i think there the porn references in amelie contributed to the R rating. i think thats lame, but it's the only reason i can think of without researching it
i didn't enjoy CoR as much as Pitch Black. i was actually kind of bored. Pitch Black is one of my favorites, i think maybe my expectations of CoR were too high.
oddly enough, i can't stand vin diesel.
this used to be my favorite show. it's not on anymore :(
i had the hugest crush on Scott Bakula!
my favorites episodes were the ones where he was a girl, they were the best
my hubby and i are going with a bunch of car club members (friends) to Las Vegas for a car show in October. i've only been to vegas once, for an afternoon business meeting, so it'll really be my (our) first time there. i'm really looking forward to it. we'll stay 5 days so we can check out the...
the only book I've ever read that took place in (around) Vancouver was a historical fiction novel called Vancouver. i thoroughly enjoyed the stories in the book, but it was really cool to read about places i've been to. i learned a lot about areas around my hometown, it was very interesting.

i like to think i'm like Claire from the Outlander series. she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty, she's quick thinking and usually level-headed, and she's passionately in love with her man (sorry about the cheeze). i wish i were as devoted as she is to helping others, but i do what i can
i think, like any personal question, one should take the answer lightly. although you can learn something about a person from their job (even if that person is only doing a job because of the money), the job doesn't DEFINE the individual.
of course, i believe the question is mostly just...
I enjoyed "Of Mice and Men" also- though it's been a good 10 years since I read it. "East of Eden" was excellent and so was "The Pearl". My most recent Steinbeck read was "Tortilla Flat". It's an insightful short story of friendship and property. It was funny and touching.
But I guess my...
reading in the tub is a luxury for me. it's an activity devoted strictly to relaxation, and it takes a lot of time. i dont worry about getting my book wet because my tub has a built in curved seat that the water can't reach, so i can rest everything on that if i'm interrupted or need to add more...
Everything said above I agree with, so I won't repeat it in a review of my own. But I will mention my favorite part was when I look forward to reading the book again.
