    Experimental poetry

Does anyone else do these? Sort of a freewriting associative exercise, just to see what comes out . . . here are two, based on random strings of letters (for poetry aficionados, I think John Ashbery does something similar in his work): Experimentals #1 Bring my little dinner slut to me...

    No-no or taboo themes

I'm sure there is no taboo against writing and publishing any kind of book you like, but there is always the potential to offend someone. A "fiction"' about kids building bombs for installation in school lockers might be a good start. Or you could rewrite the Christian story . . . Mary wasn't...

Paging Dr. Novella - paging Dr. Novella

Meanwhile . . . down the street at a filthy saloon, Dr. Novella takes her position in front of the dart board and prepares to throw, holding the dart just in front of her right ear and squinting at the wavering target. "Whip ya butt, Bowser. Watsh this." Just as she lets the dart fly, a man...

    How about a word game?

Is this TBF related? Also, if the answer is two words, you have to show that like (6,7) in the word count, okay?

    How about a word game?

Yay, another gold star! But your solving method was a tiny bit off. "without direction' tells you to take the N away, leaving just ICE.

    How about a word game?

Yes, this is correct, Moto! Gold star. The word "noisily" in a cryptic clue usually means "sounds like." Banned sounds like band.

    How about a word game?

Okay, here's another TBF-related one, with a few more clues for solving. direction can mean N,S,E, or W. student = L (for learner, as in the Ls they put on student-driver cars) inside means the word is actually contained fully in the clue. So, She's moderately nice, but without direction...

Yay! FORUM is correct! You got it! It's because million is indeed M, the word FOUR is mixed up with the M, to make FORUM. Very good, steff!

    How about a word game?

Okay, if you're up for it, I'll give you some hints on how to solve a cryptic clue. First, you look for a key process word in the clue. For instance, mixed up or jumbled or new order means the answer is probably an anagram of something in the clue. Second, all the information you need to...

    Favorite classic film

A couple of my favorites: The Fallen Idol: I loved the way it's obliquely filmed and how the characters are built from from the child's eyes. Great Expectations (1934 version): simply the most terrifying, visually arresting movie I can remember seeing as a kid. Plus who can get enough of...

I'm going to say Bricklane, but I'm not sure you've closed the clue properly. Still, good try. And I do want to know the anwer. (BTW, BANNED was correct!)
