    I just finished reading...

I did it. Yes. I just finished all 453 pages of Emma by Jane Austen. These are a lot of words for a dreadfull plot and I don't have a clue how this book could turn up at the BBC's Big Read. There can't be that many people who enjoyed the mad ravings of this stupid girl.

I just had a look and saw the guy mentioned. By the way it doesn't matter if a thread is old. If you post in it, it will pop up with the new posts. Have fun around here and keep up posting.

"I know this because Tyler knows this." The things which get repeated are the clue to the story.

    Chuck Palahniuk

I just finished Fight Club and it's gorgeous. I thought the movie was good, but it is crap in comparison to the book. These people are outreagous crazy and I love them. The book is so cool. It made me laugh out loud several times. I like the way Palahniuk repeats passages and sentences to give...

Which authors' lives have you investigated and why?

I stumbled over Sylvia Plath last year (her name was mentioned in some US sitcom). I looked her books up at amazon and found some great reviews. Her suicide got mentioned and I was fascinated by her short but unbelievably productive life as a writer. I read The Bell Jar and it was awesome...

    Classic literature

Classics are great although some of them are hard work. I've got a list of classics I would like to read and every time I buy books I chose at least one classic. I'm going to finish Emma by Jane Austen today (350 out of 450 pages and nothing exciting happend yet). Next are Richard III and...
