Why do you want to know what's on my wish list? Are you thinking of buying some books and sending them to me as a surprise gift? :D
If so... I don't have an Amazon wish list yet, but I'll get right on it!
The local library has a pretty good web site and so far they have had every book that I've wanted. Though I have only been making use of their services for the past few months. I usually check Barnes and Noble's web site to check reviews and see what I might want to check out. Then I go to...
Regarding the photo of the ship and storm on the horizon... If I recall correctly, it's a real pic, but people were trying to say it was a photo of some big hurricane last year when the photo had been circulating since before then.
As far as art goes, I like Pieter Bruegel's stuff because it...
So hard to pick a favorite, but my selections aren't anything unusual...
Tuna Melt
Reuben
Club
Philly Cheesesteak (I don't care if it's authentic either as long as it has meat, peppers, onions, and some kind of cheese substance)
The Reuben is probably my favorite at the moment.
Actually, I've only seen a few black widow spiders in my lifetime and if I saw a brown recluse, I probably wouldn't know it. Whenever I see shiny black spiders with round abdomens (normally in the garage), I grab a broom and try to pick them up with the bristles so that I can take them outside...
Spiders are our friends! Whenever I see a spider in the house, I just leave it where it is until someone else freaks out. That's when I usually grab a glass or some other container with which to capture it and take it outside to relese it humanely. Those that aren't safely removed by me usually...
I can hardly stand to sit in front of the TV anymore. I feel like I'm wasting precious time. But when I do watch...
1. Simpsons
2. King of the Hill
3. Local News
4. World News
And in no particular order...
Mr. Bean, Are You Being Served? (I have a boxed set), Keeping Up Appearances...
I love that rotating optical illusion. But I was a little disappointed by the Vase/Two Faces illusion. Thought it was going to be something good. *duck*
I saw someone driving down the road with an "Everybody to the Limit!" bumper sticker and was tempted to pull up alongside and wave at them, gesturing toward the back of their car. I figured they'd have no clue what I was doing and think I was nuts, so I didn't.
How about Chafed or Irrelevant?
Just a couple of words that we overuse at work every day.
"Careful, the edges of some of these parts are chafed." ... "Well, you're not giving them to me anyway, so that's irrelevant."
Nope. I haven't purchased anything from that web site yet, though I've been visiting it for quite a while now. I wish I had a big Strong Sad or Coach Z sticker for my vehicle window.
"Oh gee. I'm just not cut out to say da word 'Jorb'."
I've noticed at times that if I bury my nose in a cat's fur, especially the top of the head, it smells a bit like cosmetics or perfume. And their feet smell kind of like popcorn (though dogs' feet smell like popcorn too).
:o Quit looking at me like that. The smell of dogs' and cats' feet...
Yeah. I pretty much can't stand dogs. They drool on you. You pet 'em and your hands stink. You have to hunt all over the yard for their leavings. They bark. They need to be entertained. etc...
Just my opinion... being a cat person and all.
