Countdown to Chrismas by Bill Peet
Not sure if you can still get this anywhere. A copy is available on eBay, but it's pretty expensive! Check out the pictures! I can't remember what the whole story was, but I remember part of the story where Santa Claus wanted to jazz up his sleigh, so...
I loved the university library. Part of me actually wishes the local library was bigger, with several different floors, and a little musty. I used to wander around the university library, searching for some quiet, unused corner table next to a window so that I could attempt to study. But then...
I used to buy my books, but have been going to the library for the past couple of years. I find that I'll take more chances on books since they're free and if I don't like them, I can just take them back. I don't think I've ever searched for a book that I couldn't find.
Our library also has...
I do that all of the time. I usually make a mental note of any interesting books that I find, then see if I can find them at the library because I can't bear to spend the money on them.
Damn, I was 3/4 of the way through it before I saw the buttons at the bottom that allow you to speed it up! I don't know if I'd call it "great", or even "good." I'm thinking more along the lines of "acceptable."

Ahh, ok. I did a quick internet search and looks like they're just the equivalent of hard candy, possibly smaller.
I actually heard someone on TV mention "boiled sweets" today, which reminded me that I'd asked about them here.
http://www.sweetsforu.co.uk/ has a section of "Boiled Sweets"...
Last year, I was the last person to get up in the morning. This year, I'm the first. But that's probably because we had a present stashed in our room that had to be taken downstairs early this morning so it would be there when the kids wake up. I've been up for over two hours now, waiting...
I hope everyone has plenty of opportunities during this holiday season to sit back, relax, and forget for a while their hectic, stressful lives. Though I suppose people who read books are pretty good at sitting back, relaxing, and forgetting their hectic, stressful lives.
If your life isn't...
And then there's cosplay....
And then there's my coworker's friends who do this medieval role playing where they dress up as knights, etc. and fight with padded swords. Some of the people have spells, which are like multi-colored bean bags that they throw at each other in order to inflict the...
