I had to do six weeks cold turkey (well, almost, I just the internet for my job, but my home PC had died so all personal 'web time was eliminated). Fortunately, this was a few years ago, so it was probably easier then than it would be now.
However, it isn't shopping, Map Quest, or browsing...
I'd like to take a try at answering this...
A bobbyburns (frequently referred to as a Mr. Burns) is a rare and slightly exotic creature. It can be -- like some music, foods, and writers -- an acquired taste that not everyone acquires easily. However, like Ian Hunter, sushi, and Thomas...
To my darling daughter,
You cried in my arms tonight, at the end of a long day. Third grade has been a big adjustment to make; everyone is growing up and there are new rules on the playground. Winning is becoming more important -- who is fastest, who is strongest -- these are factors that...
Choosing just one book is like choosing just one pasta or one chocolate -- Impossible. So I'll arbitrarily say Joyce's "Ulysses," then I can go on to compliment Everett on the brilliant avatar, which is what I really wanted to do. :)

I thought "Lost in Translation" was a great short film, damaged by the film-makers need/desire to make a feature-length film. Wonderful performances by the two leads, but take 30 minutes of those long shots of the Tokyo skyline out and I think it would have made a more lasting impression...
I had a whole summer of dreams like that back when I was a teenager. I agree, they are the worst. Glad you've only had one, and very glad I don't have them anymore.

Oh this is disturbing. Nothing will approach the original radio program in terms of originality, attitude, and sheer silliness, but this is looking so far removed from the radio program that it's beginning to verge on the exact thing Adams was poking fun at to begin with.
Fortunately...
Okay, here (briefly with some material deleted), are last night's dreams for my official entry on this thread:
In the first, we were late for the parade my daughter is going to be in (about two hours from now) and missed the whole thing.
In the second, I was in cafe, feeling very sore and...
Poor Mr. Oblivion! This is a cry for help! Like Peter O'Toole in "My Favorite Year" the poor man is tired of being used as a sexual play thing by women, but they just won't let him alone. It's a tragedy! He's been cursed wth an abundance of charm, beauty, and virility, but he wants the world...
Now I know why they still bother selling green jello! :)
Don't get a tummyache!
I love you, too, Mr. Burns.

Did you put the little mini-marshmallows in it? :)
When I am under stress, like I am now, I rarely recall my dreams. However, I do have a particularly vivid dream that I'll share now and try very hard in the morning to recall what I dream tonight.
In this particular dream I was out in the backyard at night and noticed the stars in the sky...
I am the dark Mistress of Halloween. I have to take the day off work in order to transform the front yard into a graveyard (fortunately, every year I remember where I buried the bodies). Since my little one was born I've had to tone down the gore factor and go more for humor, but it's still a...
Obviously influenced by Bukowski. Written during Litany's reckless struggle to free her troubled spirit by driving across Mexico in a 1969 VW microbus with a half a dozen Mott the Hoople 8-tracks and a empty bottle of Tequila.
Her hostility toward the penguins (shocking) an allusion to the...
