    Hello

Welcome to the forum, Joey! :) I really like Lost too, but I watch it on UK terrestrial TV, so I'm only up to about episode three of series two. :(
  3. Halo

    Proactivity

Shade - thank you for your polite feedback. Speaking personally, all moderating duties, including merging threads, depend on how much time I have available, which at the moment is not much. By the time I've removed some spam and PMed the people involved, corrected some thread titles...

    Hello Everyone!

    Tense Extract?

Hi Tommy, I just want to say that it's difficult for the reader to appreciate the level of tension from a short extract like this. I know you want comments on just this part of your story, but what I mean is that whatever has gone on before will have probably added to the tension, and the...

How Many Languages Do You Know and Use?

Hmmph. What I meant to say was "DS, your English is atrocious." :D

How Many Languages Do You Know and Use?

DS, your English is excellent. Any misunderstandings would be purely on the part of the reader. :)

    Labyrinth

As far as I know, he hasn't been knighted; I'm just joking around. Though perhaps he should be knighted.

    Positioning of apostrophe

Blame/credit Lynne Truss, not me! :D I always need money... :( Perhaps I could hire it out to you and get a regular income.
  15. Halo

    Positioning of apostrophe

    No! :p ..........
  16. Halo

    Morrissey / The Smiths

Krishnan Guru-Murthy... I remember when he was a young whippersnapper on Newsround! :o *ahem* Thanks for the link, Shade. :) Incidentally, I will have to post my thoughts on ROTT. I did write quite a long review for here, but the damn forum logged me out when I was writing it and I lost...

Stephen King: The Dark Tower Series

Nice one. :) Just be warned that some people don't much like The Gunslinger, but if you find yourself feeling the same way, persevere. The series really is worth reading (though I wasn't happy at the ending  ).
  18. Halo

    Positioning of apostrophe

Right, having found my copy of Lynne Truss'(s!) Eats, Shoots and Leaves, I will quote the following: So basically, do what you want! :D Just please don't write "the dog wagged it's tail" or "I wonder who's cat that is?" or I'll get very annoyed. ;)
  19. Halo

Stephen King: The Dark Tower Series

Like ions said, no. Characters/events etc from some of King's other works loosely (or more closely) interconnect with The Dark Tower series, but you can read the DT without losing anything if you haven't read his other stuff. :)
  20. Halo

How Many Languages Do You Know and Use?

I could probably get by in basic French, though I think I understand spoken French and read it better than I speak it.
