Not to my knowledge. He's still under contract 'til the fall or something. Rumour mill around here is that some of the stars are getting a bit antsy about this season's storyline.
Have you seen this about his singing episode?
beergood, I agree. Gaiman tells a spooky tale that is engaging for both adult and young readers. He hasn't dumbed it down and isn't overly preachy. While I was reading it, I kept thinking it was something I would have loved reading when I was ten or eleven.
As to the discussion at...
"Brevity cult"?
I thought it was a good book, not a great book. Patchett did a good job of pulling me into that ballroom - feeling like I was one of those huddled on the floor - and seeing the situation through the eyes of the characters.
Like a lot of you, I am voracious in intent, moderate in practice. Other interests and obligations seem to get in the way.
I try to read at my desk during lunch, but it rarely works out -- seems that cracking open a book is like an open invitation to co-workers, saying, "Hey, Ell's not busy...
That was my take on it, too.
I think Card makes a good point about her hypocrisy. She didn't mind the material being on the website (where it helped promote her books); but now is launching a lawsuit because it's in book form. Everyone knows what the source material is; I don't see the...

I barely remember Timothy Dalton in the role.
Difficult film to watch, but very well done.
I don't think it could have turned out any other way - not unless Plainview changed.
While watching, I kept waiting for him to show some sort of redeeming quality or have an epiphany that would change his course of destructive behaviour. Now...
Admittedly, I haven't been around much lately, but when I signed in today, I got a notification about "friends" I dutifully clicked the link and have now accepted two friends. What does this mean, exactly?
I searched the FAQs and I know what they are ( even how to break a friendship...
My emphasis above.
In all good conscience, how can anyone ban something they've never read.
Additionally, does the school board think high school students have never heard (or used) those curse words? Who do they think they're protecting? It's baffling.
I remember thinking I wanted to slap Emma upside the head and tell her to grow up! But I doubt it would have done any good. She was egocentric to the core.
I read this a number of years ago, now, but the main thing I remember feeling is that Emma was a girl/woman in love with the idea of "Love" and being "in love". She really had no idea how to love someone beyond the superficial first blush of romantic attraction.
From what I recall, she...
