I've been researching since this thread was posted and I think I have a few favorites:
schadenfreude: pleasure derived from another's misfortune
tatterdemalion: a person dressed in tattered or ragged clothing
:)
I am a huge fan of Shyamalan and wondered if there were any other fans out there. I love all his work (haven't seen Unbreakable yet though). My favorite might be Signs. I get freaked out every time I see it. I also really like The Sixth Sense. It was the first one I saw. I loved how complex the...
Hi Wanderer. Wow, that's really amazing that you're so fluent in languages. It's not one of my talents, but languages are something that I've always been interested in. I speak a litte Spanish. It's my fourth year doing it in school.
I like Terry Pratchett as well but I had to stop reading him...
Here's what we have so far:
The sulfurous cloud was like a snake.
O'er the pie in the oven, ready to bake.
.... wandering eyes rolling over the valley, the whispering wind reminds me of a fate I once new...........
sinuous misty fingers stealing into the very core of my soul
wondering why this...

I read Oedipus Rex for school last year. You've gotta love the part at the end where . I'm still cringing with horror...
Hope you enjoy your stay!
I have the first book sitting on my bookshelf. It should be the next book I read. I've read another book by Tad Williams (The War of the Flowers) which I loved so I bet his series is great. Thanks again.
How to Respond in a Sucessful Interview by Terry Goodkind
((This may be one only the fans would understand))
How to be Brief and Concise by George R.R. Martin, Tad Williams, Terry Gookind and Ayn Rand
You can't forget the main character's song that he sings at the wedding of a couple: Love stinks. Haha, I was cracking up so much :D
I saw Elizabethtown as well and thought it was pretty good. I don't remember it too well now but I know I liked it.
I like the idea, but I'm just too possesive of my books to turn them loose. I love having my library and I just couldn't part with it. If I had enough $$ to buy 2 of every copy of my favorite books then we might get somewhere....:)
Well, I'm pretty into the cheesy romantic comedies :o I just watched You, Me and Dupree and while my whole family pretty much hated it I laughed through the whole thing. I also like 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, A Lot Like Love, and The Lake House. They're nice after a grueling day of...
Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitley check out some books buy Guy Gavruek Kay. I've heard from a few other people that Neverwhere is good as well...it sounds interesting.
Thanks again ;)
I'm looking for a good fantasy book that I can really get into and enjoy. I've been dissapointed with the books I've read lately and was wondering if any of you could recommend something that I would like. My favorite fantasy authors are George R.R. Martin, Terry Goodkind, and J.R.R. Tolkien...
Oh, haha. That's such an easy one. Old sweats and baggy t-shirts all the way. They're warmer and more cozy than actual PJs anyway.
What is a book that you loved as a little kid?
It must be nice when you get to a boring part in one book to be able to switch to another without guilt. Or if you just get tired of a book, especially if it's REALLY long. I think I will try this and see how it works.
