ha, ha! That's funny to a large degree.
As for me, I just like to hear myself talk in grand style. So, I write poetry. There's nothing better than listening to your higher and lower self talk to each other. I just capture that in words. lol.
That being said, I take a near-daily attempt at...
Canto III: Could You Be Loved?
As she sat there alone, atop the mountain,
Young Psyche felt a gentle breeze upon
The back of her neck, as if it was speaking
To her, calling her to rise to her feet.
Encouraged, she stood and walked to the edge
Of the near-by cliff, and soon found herself...
Canto II: No One Under the Sun
(part two)
Troubled of heart, the King, then, returned home.
Soon, it became known to all in his household
That young Psyche was doomed to be given
To some foul beast at the place of the summit.
The family found itself in the mire
Of mourning, as if their...
Well, I'm glad you all enjoy it. I actually wrote part of the next canto. The second canto is most likely going to be in two parts. So, I'd like to share part one. Feast on this...
Canto II: No One Under the Sun
(part one)
As the days slowly passed, love never came
To the young maid...
Here is the start of a poem I'm working on. It's the story of Cupid and Psyche, only in my own words. I've never read the actual work of literature, but I've read others' take on it. Here is my effort, but in poetic verse.
Act 1: The Privilege of Young Love
Canto I: The Dawn of Love...
I loved it too. I think my favorite part is that I got caught in a strange little drama of a life I could have possibly once lived in a dream. Then I realized I had read your story twice in as many days... still felt bazaar. Reminded me how life can be like some sort of glitchy reality.
lol...
Oh, you will definitely be getting more.
I plan on this space odyssey becoming part of my routine. I feel my life needs a little adventure.
Just gotta keep that vision going...
Chapter 1
As the ship neared the end of its three year journey, it appeared dead with its lack of movement, and deathly quiet where it not for the sound of the gentle beating heart of a woman sitting in front of a computer screen causing the keys of a keyboard to go thumpity-thump...
I'll actually sit down and, after it's saved on another file, go through and rework the plot in different ways until something strikes my fancy, then write about that. But I don't get writer's block very often, call me lucky.
So I guess I'm saying, 'motivation won't always come unless you are...
With everyone in the teleporter, Ahren typed in the coordinates on the console and hit enter. Off they went, through the stars, traveling at the speed of light, till they landed on Kwagmar. Kwagmar was a very beautiful planet that resembled a pristine garden. It was full of captivating plants...
Back in the teleporter, Ahren opened the glovebox and pulled out the cosmic map and looked for the next place to go. One planet looked most promising, Kwagmar: Land of the Apes.
"What you say, Leah, about visiting Kwagmar?" said Ahren with a hint of excitement in his voice. "It's home of the...
Chunks of lon-lon flew everywhere. Some chunks landed over here, some over there. One thing was sure: the lon-lon was dead.
Suddenly a blue light appeared, grew brighter, and ascended to heaven; all the souls the lon-lon had consumed and held captive all these years, finally set free.
It tripped the landmines, which exploded but only slowed it down for second allowing the pack time to escape. The lon-lon had armored skin that was near impossible to penetrate, but the rocket launcher would do the job. Ahren aimed the rocket launcher and fired. To his surprise something blew up...
Ahren knew exactly what to do to get Musash to bait the trap correctly. He picked up one of the lon-lon's discarded bones, and seeing if Musasha would fetch, tossed one near the monsters dig.
Musasha cought on to the trick.
Why make me the bait, thought Musasha. Then she said, in plain...
If you want my love, you had it from the start
When I say 'I love you,' my hearts glad to say it
For you control the rythm of my heart
It's beating in sweet jubilation
I'm happy as long as you're by my side
you're my everything, the light of my life
You're God's gift to me, designed so...
