Well yes, but marketing has always been that way. The mass is where the money is. The publishing industry, is like any other industry and for the most part they don't want to take risks.
If a book's synopsis looks interesting I pick it up; if it doesn't, I don't. Books that are good might...

It's just trend-riding. It happens with tv/music/movies too. Yeah, it's kind of annoying, but the writers & publishers are hedging their bets in a way; they want to sell to an established market. And sometimes the "copycat" books are actually pretty enjoyable.
I must have missed something w/all the coverage, but is there a reason they didn't also (or instead) try to charge him with manslaughter? I don't necessarily think he's guilty of Murder, but he should have to serve something. Although, he'll likely be a public pariah for the rest of his...
Yeah, that's a great moment, one of the best from season 1.
I love the contrast of Walt's tragically easy transition to evil with Jesse's sloooowww crawl to redemption. Just wait 'till you get to season 2 and they introduce Gus Fring! :)

Honestly, I don't mind the nutritional/calorie info on menus. It can be pretty helpful. Banning the Big Gulp altogether feels pushy and I'm not sure how productive it really is. I tend to think being active is the thing they need to concentrate on, but anyway...
I did like that, at its core, Fountainhead is about a man struggling to keep his artistic integrity. It's pretty mean-spirited and nasty in parts though, which I guess you know you're going to get with Rand but anyway...I don't think it gets as bogged down in text as AS, but I've only seen...
