I have a TBR and a TBF (To Be Finished) pile. I start books but have a hard time finishing them (A.D.D.) unless I'm absolutely taken away by them. So I have tons of books that I pick up from time to time with which I attempt to play catch-up.
I would love to work in a quaint little local bookstore. You know the type, where the employees are knowledgable of authors and books. I don't see many of those anymore.
Be as careful of the books you read as of the company you keep,
for your habits and character will be as much influenced by the former as the latter. -Paxton Hood
Love non-fiction. I basically read biographies and history books. I try to stay away from strict academic ones because they are too "heavy" for me. Then when my brain feels like mush from all the intensity of reading non-fiction I go for something light.
I guess the idea of aging, like tattoos, is an individual thing. The thought of getting old and having a tattoo doesn't bother me in the least. My tattoo isn't the product of a rash decision so I'm comfortable having it for the rest of my days.
I am ashamed to say that I have a very lazy tongue and pronounce it "off-in". Oh and everyone loves it when I say strawberry, it comes out "shtrawberry". :p
I thought only my cats spoke! I can't understand them because Tiberius speaks Latin, Sacha speaks Russian, and Toulouse speaks French. :p
Another good word is "fastidious". I've been called fastiodoso all while growing up but have never heard it used in English.
I'm probably going to get a lot of flack from forum members but I love the Earth Children Series by Jean M. Auel (Clan of the Cave Bear is the first book). It's not top-notch writing but I would suggest it to anyone interested in historical nature. The books are an easy read and interesting.
I've noticed lately that's its hit or miss with this site. I've cleared my cookies and temp internet files and it was still a half hour before the site was ok. Very strange.
