    Good Place to Read

Hammocks are really comfortable to read in, or those garden swings. Too bad it's winter here. :D :D I think she means the loo.

    Mature Discussion Forum

I think that the best idea would be to have the header that Occlith mentioned. That way members are aware of the forum and can join, yet we still avoid the legal issues that Darren is concerned about. Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I don't think that this can be ignored. What is wrong...

    Philippa Gregory

I have really enjoyed all of her books in the "Tudor Series", except for The Virgin's Lover. The Elizabeth they portrayed in here is so far from what she would have had to have been like to keep her throne in times like those. I just really disliked the personality she was given.

The first sentence in the book you're reading

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York. - The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

    What Genre do you like?

I'm a big fan of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Historical fiction is my other favourite too, Katherine. I suspect a rigging

    When do you read?

I don't really mind when I read, but lately I've been finding that I only have time to read at late night, just before I go to sleep.

    The CONSPIRACY THEORY Thread

There's one about the Virginia Tech massacre? But in all honesty, I do believe that there was a conspiracy surrounding the JFK assassination - I do believe the grassy knoll shooter theory. We studied it in History, and there is just too much evidence to counter the assertion that Lee Harvey...

    Frank McCourt: Angela's Ashes

I agree - I don't think that it is a major downfall of the book at all. I didn't read it thinking "this is a memoir, every single word has to be true". I think that most rational people who pick up the book realise that people don't remember every single thing that people have said throughout...

    Inspiration on order ?

It's still writing and the author is still being creative. If a teacher assigns a topic for the class to write about the class are still writing and are still having to use creativity and orginality.

    Do you take book notes?

I don't usually take notes because it disrupts my reading too much. I do try to remember unfamiliar topics or events and then Wiki them later (if it's a historical fiction or something of the kind) :D

I recommend books that I haven't read if people ask for books dealing with a certain topic eg vampires, but I always state that I haven't read them.
