I don't think he'll kill himself, I thinmk he'll die in some other way-that's why there'll be only twelve. And i think you find out L's name later on. And i'm pretty sure you keep going through the alphabet and then start over-although that might take a while, not all of them get .
I;'m sooo...
well, it depends on what kind of book you like. I liked this but I tend to go for 'lighter' classics, and gone with the wind is pretty much a romance. It does get good when it gets to the romantic parts, though.
Aw, you beat me to mentioning Rafael Sabatini. I've read all three of his captain blood books, which are wonderful. He writes great books, I've also read Scaramouche, although that's about the French revolution. I'd say his are my favorite. I've read treasure island, of course, and robinson...
Number 9 and 10 are out already, but they aren't as good..in fact, they get worse, with 10 being the worst so far. They start getting drastically worse after 7.
No, my AP exam is for european history. And I"m really interested in european history, but there's just so much of it, that I can't...
Well, I just found out that Kurt Vonnegut died today. And I'm ashamed to say that I've only read a short story, none of his novels(although my parents think I'm too young to read them-I won'g 'get them').
Usually I get books out of the library and have a HUGE pile in my room of books I want to read, but recently I bought quite a lot of books, a lot of them about European History(I have my AP exam coming up soon, and I started studying and realized how little I knew about things Dumas didn't write...
I see the count of monte cristo is a popular one. It's one of my favorites along with the Three Musketeers.
Also, pride and prejudice by jane austen. How can you not love such a classic?
I have a love-hate relationship with 7. I like the plot but it depresses me. It's also my friend's favorite. I gave it to him for his birthday. He was happy, but then blamed me for making him depressed. But what I've learned from books (and manga) is that bad things happen in books and life, so...
If you're still interested, I also came across a book called "It seemed like a good idea..a compendium of great historical fiascoes' in a used book store. It's by two authors, don't remember their names, but it's quite interesting.
I really need a job. I am so bankrupt right now, it's not funny. And since I've started studying for my history AP exam, I've gone on a rampage for history books, so I have lots of holds at various stores right now..that I can't pay for. And Death Note #11 comes out in may, I have no idea how...
These new covers are extremely colorful-all three. I wonder why? Expecially compared to the previous two US ones. And yes, the bloomsbury one for children is terrible. Almost as bad as the French ones. It looks like the cover of a Russian harry potter parody(there's lots of them, and they all...
IT seems like march is a bad month for reading..I wonder why? I read about half as many books as I usually do:
Scaramouche-Rafael Sabatini
Queen of FAshion: What marie antoinette wore to the revolution-caroline weber
Blood and Chocolate - who's the author again?
Deathnote(manga) #10...
I can only suggest a famous book called "the 12 Ceasars"-it's not exactly about Rome, and I haven't read it, but it's one of the leading books on Rome and Roman leaders, I've heard. The Fall and Decline of the Roman empire sounds like a good bet, and Ceasar's Gallic Wars as well (I'm actually...
I'm from Belarus, which was part of hte soviet union until about 15 years ago, so any writers from there are fairly recent. I can't claim that anyone like Pushkin or Dostoevsky was Belarusian, they were Russian..but fortunately I can still read them in russian.
As much as I'd love to go to london, I'm stuck with the Ann Arbor book festival, but we have lots of authors coming so it should be interesting. Fortunately we live in a town which contains the University of Michigan, therefore we have some 'culture'.
oh, that's understandable. I've been doing a lot of instore reading and bookbuying lately too, mostly history books though. I have quite a while to wait until the next Death Note comes out. Now that I think about it, I think it comes out the day of my AP history exam!
