    I usually have at least one nonfiction book in the works -- most often history, baseball, or film.

    Currently Reading

    I'm reading Diana Gabaldon's The Fiery Cross, which has wonderful characters and loads of specific details, but is very slow in spots (the first 200 pages cover basically one day's worth of action). I'm also about halfway through Scorsese on Scorsese, a good read for that filmmaker's fans.

    Just a quick hello to all ... this looks like a good forum for book-lovers, of which I am one. In fiction, I will read just about anything except horror (and I'll try good ones if the recommendations are strong enough). In nonfiction, I gravitate towards history, sports -- especially baseball...
