    Bad review after Kindle give-away

Actually, it's turning out to be a plus. People are slamming her for that review and my website is getting more hits than ever. I haven't checked sales yet, but I'll let you all know.

    Bad review after Kindle give-away

Link fixed. When I originally made the link, there was an extra space before http. Thanks.

    Bad review after Kindle give-away

No, I don't know her or know who she is. It's kind of puzzling why she would put a review up for my book when she's only reviewed books about knitting socks before.

    Bad review after Kindle give-away

You're right, the link isn't working. I re-did it, but still not good. Thanks for the heads-up.

    Bad review after Kindle give-away

I have no idea if Amazon will remove reviews. This is hardly my first bad review, I entered that same novel in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel contest and, after stellar reviews in the first two rounds, was eliminated by a reviewer that basically said I, being a white man, had no right to write...

    Bad review after Kindle give-away

I know authors shouldn't respond to reviews, so I won't, but I'd like to share this review I received on Amazon.com after a recent kindle book giveaway. It's referring to my novel "...and Remember that I Am a Man." - a historical novel about slavery. Call me when you figure out that this...

My first crack at Paranormal YA

Since this is an excerpt, it's hard to critique. If it's the start of a book, it's a huge infodump of backstory, which might put the reader off because he/she is waiting for the story to start. However, you did make it amusing by having the quirky character relate it as if written in a journal...

    Book Idea Help!!!

You want a review of an idea? Okay. This is just another post-apocalypse society and I don't see anything original about it. But that doesn't matter, because it depends on how well the novel is written an how interesting your characters are, etc. And why do all new writers think someone is...

    Everybody's an author now.

I disagree. It's "published author" that can't be used as a label for a self-publisher. I've had four books published by small press, but had to resort to self-pubbing my historical novels since no agents or small publishers were interested.

    Free Kindle novel - historical/slavery

Thanks, Peder, If you'd like to learn more about southern history, Univ. of North Carolina's Docsouth is the place to go. They archive all the written data and images they can get. Here's a link to the Moses Grandy story, but I'd suggest you read it AFTER my novel, since it's a total spoiler...

Im writing a book (Need some support)

I managed to plow through it. It wanders, offers no new insights, and is full of inconsistencies. It failed to catch my interest in any way. Sorry. JohnB
