    Premiere's Top 20 List

Having never seen either, I can't speak for them myself.

    Why Can't Female Writers Write?

I agree. After reading other comments he has posted, I think he's just posting random things that he thinks will make people mad. I laughed so hard when I saw this thread, because I knew that's exactly what he was trying to do. (And BTW, beergood, your comment--hilarious.)

    Rejected children's book titles

*wipes away tears of laughter* I think we should write all of these books and try to sell them, see what happens.

    Premiere's Top 20 List

I'm sorely disappointed. All that and no inclusion of Moulin Rouge, which I think is one of the most awful movies in existence and makes no sense and the people involved were so talentless that they could only use songs that were already written and performed many times better? *runs out of...

    Question Game

To Vesp: Airplanes aren't that bad. I got sick at first, because I get sick when I'm nervous, and I almost fainted once we were all the way up, but it wasn't bad at all. I think I'd still be nervous taking off and landing if I flew again, but it's not bad. Neo-classical. But sometimes I...

Who here speaks more than one language?

Do you mean one gender as in you don't have both feminine and masculine nouns, or one gender as in you don't have a differnce between "he" and "she"? I thought you meant the last one.

    Randomness! Yay!

Personally, my Christmas was good, because I know most of the money went to my Europe trip this year, and I'll be going to England and France in June or July. Besides that...I got seventy-five dollars in certificates from my my grandparents and my uncle, an ornament from my Aunt Sharon, a...

    I Will Not Weep

Vesp does have a strong voice. As soon as I read one line of one of his poems, I know it's his. But maybe that's because I usually read them in his handwriting... :D

    Ray Bradbury: Fahrenheit 451

If I were in the situation, I would keep Fahrenheit 451 in my head. It was very important to me. Important enough that I got myself an expensive hardback version when I could actually get a cheap $5 paperback. For someone who is saving every penny they have, that's saying quite a bit.

    Bad song lyrics.

I recently discovered in an Eminem song that the rapper invites someone to "kiss my black ass." I mean, really. That is dumb. And the girl who told me this kept listening to the album, telling me how great it was as she sat next to me in the bus. I bluntly told her that I would never waste...

    2006 - Best Reads

Wow, some of those books sound really interesting--I might be checking them out. I'd add to the list, but I never pay attention to what year or month I read anything. I guess maybe I should. However, I can tell you how many days it took me to read every single book in my library, and I...

    Handle with care: Racism

For some reasons, Americans seem to think that if you speak another language in public, you can't speak English. It's just silly. If someone is speaking Chinese in public, they are probably just smarter than everyone else in the room. Besides, other languages are great for when you'd rather...

    Night At the Museum

Yeah, I know. I was so reluctant to see it as well...it didn't help that there were loud children with their parents coming in to see it, and I was wondering what I was getting myself into. Then they had kid's movies among the trailers. But the movie itself was one of those that adults like...

    Rejected children's book titles

Featuring the Telletubbies in How to Make A Car Bomb for Mommy and Daddy There's A Monster Under Your Bed and It's Going to Eat You This Little Piggy Went to the Market and Killed Everyone There Kama Sutra Jr.

    LOL. That even looks gross.

    Handle with care: Racism

That's sad; they should have taken it to an authority. Personally, I don't care if people speak foreign languages in public as long as they learn enough English that they don't struggle. Amongst friends, they should speak whatever language is the easiest for them to converse clearly in--I'm...

    Rejected children's book titles

I'm crying, too, and don't tell anyone, but I think I drooled on myself. :( Wonderful, wonderful. That definitely deserved to be posted.

Shame on you, ions. Eating bunnies when there are so many other cute and furry creatures around...

    Ray Bradbury: Fahrenheit 451

This was my favorite book ever. It really made me appreciate how precious literature was to me. And I realized how easily literature could be taken away from us, and how it could completely stop us from having ideas, or being different, rob us completely of all intelligence and lead to...

    New Years plans 2007

I plan on going to college in the fall. And go to Europe in the summer. Sorry...that's all I got so far.
