I spent some time at a movie rental place yesterday trying to find a good horror movie. Apparently that's practically an oxymoron now. I did find a movie called "The Curse of King Tut's Tomb." I didn't rent it but it looks hilariously bad, especially since I am studying Egyptology and I'm...
I know my mother likes them. My father likes folk music sometimes, so he probably would, too. I actually usually listen to metal and gothic electronica, but I enjoy some of this kind of stuff. Still, it makes you feel a little weird when you and your mom can listen to the same CD.
Don't do that to me, novella! I mean, for crying out loud, I was in the middle of a particularly large gulp of chocolate milk. It'll take forever to clean my keyboard off now. :D
All the sequels recently have been awful. I liked the Aladdin sequels alright. I mean, they weren't great, but they were decent. I didn't bother with the Cinderella sequel, but I did have the misfortune of seeing the sequel to Mulan. It...was...terrible. I don't have a problem with the idea...
Oh, I caught on. Laughed my head off, too...
I hope you can learn to forgive me for plagiarizing you, John. I promise I'll never do it again. *makes puppy dog eyes*
I had actually never been called a maggot before. You see, I prefer the term "fly larvae." I feel it's more politically...
I have his anthology, Fragile Things, and I love it. It is a collection of his short stories and poems. There's another one I want called Smoke and Mirrors, and I think it had better reviews than Fragile Things. I'm sure you'll like it. He writes a very interesting kind of story.
I don't have any of their CD's yet--a situation which I hope shall be remedied--but they're quite good. I saw them the first time on TV, and they had such beautiful, ethereal voices that I had to listen. I like Irish folk music and they also did some pretty Italian pieces and covers of...
Well, me being too sensitive, I cry at a lot of movies. Just today I was watching a documentary I taped about Columbine and crying listening to the kids talk that had just come out and seen their friends shot.
So here's my sad movie list, not necessarily in order of how sad each movie was...
All of my friends are perverts. I couldn't help but notice the double meaning, either. But I wasn't going to say anything and prove what a teenager I am. It's hard to be taken seriously anyway at my age...oh, well, I should have remembered that here I'm among friends. ;)
Welcome! I see you're reading Stardust. I'm also currently reading Gaiman, and I'm actually drawing a portrait of him for my art class. Stardust was one of my favorite books. How do you like it so far? Have you read any of his short story collections or poetry?
Well, that would create a need for a whole new kind of mature section...I think we should divide it into two more specific sections: the "adults only" section and the "let's all act like responsible, mature adults (yeah right)" section.
Nice to hear from ya. Vesp is probably in a car with his mother as I type and hating it...which I must admit makes me smile a little as I imagine her nitpicking about some small detail while he rolls his eyes with a strained expression and turns up the volume on his iPod...which should pretty...
LOL. I don't like the new ones that have come out recently, though. I mean, Finding Nemo is alright and all, but it just doesn't have the depth of Beauty and the Beast or Aladdin. And is it just me, or is children's entertainment getting dumber and dumber? If I had kids, I would not have...
Well, I have a lot on my plate...plus, I'm trying to finish all of Sandman, which is kind of difficult since I can only even read them by driving forty-five minutes out of the way. I actually bought a new one last weekend, but usually I just sit in the cafe and read them at the store because...
I'm the same way...I hate getting in trouble with my Mom. And it's funny, because I'm eighteen and I haven't been spanked for years. The irritated glance is usually enough. If not, then follows the yelling. If still no, my priviliges are taken away. Which has happened maybe twice in the...
I secretly enjoy Disney movies, even though I'm typically fond of the darker side of things and ordinarily prance about dressed in black holding my Poe book like it's a Bible.
...and what's worse, I still know all the words, and I even have several of the songs on my iPod. *dies of...
Granted, but it's low-budget with horrible writers and actors, and it resembles a kindergarten play instead of the thrilling blockbuster you were expecting.
I wish that my cats wouldn't scratch me when I pick them up.
I agree with tartan skirt. And manuscriptx...don't kick the James Frey horse, please. It's dead, buried, and rotting underground. And you're really disturbing the maggots.
