When we've finally got a full list of one book per Olympic country it'd be nice if a friendly Mod could edit them into a one post sticky or something like that. Personally I think It's a good idea to encourage people beyond the limits of the English Writing world...
That Icelandic author being...
Another excellent suggestion.
Anyone who liked Lost in Translation may be interested in the, far superior, Wong Kar-Wai films that were Sofia Coppala’s most obvious point of reference.
'In the Mood for Love' is often named as Wong Kar-Wai's best film but some of his earlier work like...
Unfortunately you will need to learn Russian Grammar as well as vocabulary, without the grammar (in particular how the endings of words change depending on how they are used) you'll not make much progress. Sergo can explain this better than me...
I think you need to have a word with your other half about that. Nicking your unfinished book, reading it all the way through and then telling you the ending is pretty bad form.

Well, thank goodness that's sorted out, we can all relax over Christmas now...
Who'd of thought Достое́вский was so difficult to pronouce...although it's no человеконенавистничество or even взьзднут...
Well, whatever your views on religion, the question 'What caused the first domino to fall over' will probably always remain unanswered...hence there does not have to be conflict between science and religion if that fundamental issue is kept in view...problems only arise when explainations to...
Ok, here are a few more links to sites about the Kanun and one about Kadare himself:

It's been a couple of years since I read Broken April, so i'll not remember every detail, but I'm happy to share my thoughts if you want. I seem to remember I recommended this book to you in your 'Olympic Bid' thread.
