As the thread in question has been ‘tidied up’ it’s hard to tell exactly what was said and who said it first. But from the bits that remain it seems to follow a similar, if more exaggerated version, of previous interactions between eyezOnme and the board. Yes, at times he can act like a troll...
Wait till you hit your mid 30's, it's like you're wading through Ulysess. You read'n'read'n'read but just can't quite finish the chapter. Not without motivating yourself by thinking of a new, more interesting book anyway.

'Snow Country' is a beautiful, minimalistic treasure, and a window on a culture the west barely understands. Kawabata is a subtle, deceptive writer, whose words dab the page in the way of the traditional Japanese paintings that adorn the covers of his books, and are populated with characters...
A trip to my favourite second hand shop resulted in:
The Angel of the West Window* - Gustav Meyrink
The Enchanted Wanderer and Other Stories - Nikolai Leskov
For the Good of the Cause - Alexander Solzhenitsyn

The author is a Japanese catholic, and he is addressing the question of whether Christianity can spread in a country like Japan, or if it is too based in western values/culture to translate. One of the characters in the book puts it in these terms:
Anyway, just over an hour to go till the...
Just finished Silence, so in case I don't have chance to give a full review later on, I'll just point out why I think you might get a lot from it.
The book is set in 17th Century Japan and follows a Portuguese Priest as he attempts to contact the Japanese Christian community, which has been...
An unimportant side issue here:
Always swimming against the tide is just as lacking in originality as always swimming with it.
But I take the points made about smilies. Dont like 'em myself, but that's led to my posts being misinterpreted at times.
You've probably got Japan covered already, but if not I'm half way through a book you might find interesting:
Silence by Shusaku Endo
The book deals with the difficulty Christianity has faced in becoming popularised in Japan. In particular the persecution Japanese Christians faced in the...
Try looking into R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) by Karel Capek, it might be what you're looking for.

Although I'm a fan of Capek I wouldn't recommend reading the play...
