Shadows on a Wall by Ray Connolly had so many good characters, so to keep them straight I wrote their names down and put it in the front of the book and a brief description of their parts in the story. My friends that borrowed the book told me they really appreciated that I did.
I sure do remember the "Horror" books I read when I was a kid. Grimms Fairy Tales was one of my favorites and I just recently bought a copy for "old times sake". Tales From The Crypt was my favorite comic book. Then I went on to Frankenstein's stories and Dracula.

Thanks for the warning. I bought Pnin and was very pleased with it. It had a really nice binding and great paper and even a little gold ribbon to keep my place.
I read mostly just to read and the binding or the paper doesn't bother me. I give the books away anyway. I like to get the latest...
Thanks for the info. I've been buying books at discount for years and I never knew they were called remainders. Overstock.com and Amazon.com have some of these cheap books. I always wondered why the price on some were lesser than others when they looks exactly alike.:D

You really won't believe this...but the postoffice lost my two pocket books, said they might have delivered them to someone with the same address but different street:eek: and would try and get them back.

I would like to know how long it takes you to finish a book from start to finish...
