Crow killer The saga of Liver eating Johnson
I did a bit of research, seems like not much of the story is based on fact. Can't really recommend it, but at least it was a quick read.

Since joining TBF in March 2005 i have broadened my taste in authors and i've started to read books i never would have a few months ago. Most recommended by other members and some just browsing the internet and bookshops.
Just a few on my list are..
Electric Michelangelo...
Crow Killer, The saga of liver eating Johnson by Raymond W thorp.

Seems like there are a lot of heavy readers out there.
So my 'target' of 52, one a week (which i stress is only an arbitrary figure, to gauge how much reading i do in a year) seems low in comparison.
I still don't know where you find the time to read so much, I would love to read more...
STEADY ON, it's not a matter of caring ,it's just a question, to get a feel for how much reading is going on. Seems like some read a lot of books and can't have much time for anything else. As for setting a target it's just something i do each year ( call it a quirk), doesn't matter if i reach...
I was wondering roughly how many books in a year you all read. I try to set myself a target of 52 (one a week) i'm not a fast reader so most of the time it's around the 50 mark. I have read more 70ish (short easy 200 page reads always bumps it up)
Is this average, looking at some of the threads...
Crow Killer (The saga of Liver eating Johson) by Raymond W. Thorpe
Island at the centre of the World (Story of the founding of New York) by Russell Shorto

Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
About 200 pages in and enjoying it immensely, lots of strange things going on which seem at the moment, unconnected.
But i'm assured by people who have read it, everything falls into place and makes sense by the end.

Just Started 'Kafka on the Shore' by Haruki Murakami
It's my second Murakami book 'The Wind-up bird chronicles' being the first which i enjoyed a lot.
