I just recently read The Postman. Reluctantly, I might add, because of the Kevin Costner Movie stigma. That aside, it was a fantastic and plausible post-apocalyptic view. Good stuff.
I'm with funes on this one. Lending is a risky proposition even when it is paired with returning. Return in the same condition is a nearly never in my experience.

King's Dark Tower Complete
In a joint venture, publishers Donald M. Grant and Scribner will release the long-awaited completion to Stephen King's Dark Tower series in three volumes beginning in the fall of 2003, the publishers announced. The first of the final three books, Wolves of the Calla...

Pure testosterone overload
Manuel O'Kelley Davis, the Moon Is A Harsh Mistress. Took the bull by the horns and did what was right. He was a pretty normal Joe, too, which is always a plus. No super powers, no super intellect, just did what needed to be done.
A close second is Corwin from Zelazny's Amber series. This...
And, sigh, Riker hadn't grown a beard...(fans self) Counselor Troy hadn't figured out she didn't have to wear the body suit, Worf was still that shy Klingon next door...
Oh, you had to mention the mortgage, didn't you?
I haven't seen it yet but it look like a rental from the beginning...
Always glad to see another Sci Fi fan. Glad you beamed in. Post away at the Sci Fi forum as much as you like. Start threads, review books, have fun--theres nothing quite like discussing Sci Fi with someone who can read Ulysses (its not me, for sure).
Welcome and enjoy!
P.S. There are...
