Actually a better way to put it is like this: In America you can do anything you want as long as you don't a) Piss off enough of your neighbors that they can get together and pass laws against your fun b) get caught if you happen to break some laws c) afford an attorney that can quibble...
Hey how do we submit news stories? I clicked on the submit content button and I had to fill out an application to submit a story. I we're a registered user doesn't the site already have all that?
Anyway, it seems like it ought to be easier to submit stories.
Dany was 14 in the book when she was sold to be the Dothraki khaleesi or whatever. Sanya is married at 16ish and her wedding night is described. There are a bunch of kids in there, to be sure. I think Martin uses it--and uses it well--to describe a facet of the cruelty in that place. In...
Perhaps if we threaten to sing the posts will start pouring in to stop it.
Hey I've just finished GRR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series and I'm waiting for the next one A Feast of Crows to come out in paperback. Terry Goodkind's Chainfire is coming out, but I've read nothing but dismal...
Actually acusing someone of going to Graceland is only a compliment in certain parts of the US.
and I think Kelly Clarkson is labeled a country singer, but I'm not actually sure she qualifies.
You all are acting like there's something wrong with liking country music. Perhaps its a preferential thing. I like all sorts, but wouldn't put anyone down for liking something I didn't.
Silly Wabbit! They are merely misguided...perhaps if they visited Graceland it would change them as it...
Do threads have expiration dates? Hey there's tons of fantasy fans on board...and, in fact, there are lots of discussions going on right at this moment.
Turn pages. Walk back and forth to the restroom, the bedroom, the dinner table, the bookshelf--that sort of thing. I also, on occasion, shift positions and fluff pillows.
I am right in the middle of George R R Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. So far it is remarkably well written. The characters are strong...I mean you really hate them or you really like them. Its worth the read time.
Sorry Ell, it appears ol' marxlaws has forgotten to take his medication...again. Dude...the pills before posting please. Believe it or not there are some folks who don't agree with you.
Classic is a term thats been overworked recently. Its become more of a marketing gimmick than an...
And hey now your old enough to vote and drink! Whoopeeee!
I hope someone gets you season tickets for the Canucks! Er, preferably when there's a season to go see. HBD!
Some people tolerate spoofs better than others. I like most of Mel Brooks movies but Spaceballs! just twisted Star Wars completely into hysteria-land. It was much needed IMO because there were far too many people walking around in Darth Vader or Wookie costumes. Helloooo! Its a movie.
I think Writer's Block is a function of deadlines and the pressure to produce that are put on professonal writers. If I feel like I've got writers block I just quit and go do something else. Folks who write for a living don't have that luxury. Sometimes when you must you can't. novella sees...
I have recently discovered that George R R Martin is good at this and gets a LOT of mileage per death. Even if you don't like fantasy its good to read it and try to figure out how he did it.
Heinlein does that. I am not sure if that was his opinion or if he was just trying to stir up trouble. Personally, I think it makes a sorry commentary or religion but as a story its pretty good.
It's been a few years since I read that one of his and I am trying to remember the context of...
Prolixic isn't doing so hot with the list. I'm having a hard time figuring out a way to count votes per book. I've tried Excel and Access. Anyone have any suggestions, just let me know.
