Can't we all just get along?

"However, just to put some perspective on this, check out the tone over at the discussion board on www.laurellkhamilton.org - that truly beggars belief!" Talk about a shit website! What's your point??

    Small Talk

I loathe small talk but I agree with Irene... it's all about questions. I ask everyone everything. They think I am interested. Not really, although I hear lots of gossip. Funny thing is, people think I'm their best friend because I don't tell anyone else their secrets. That's because I don't...

Whats so good about Harry potter?

I read one and thought it was ok. Still don't understand the hype. The younger blonder version of me doesn't read so everyone said "Read Harry Potter to her". Thank gawd it only made her fall asleep faster! She's almost 15 now and has seen the movies and doesn't like them either. Mind you...

What do you eat while you read?

I've certainly learned what foods you can or cannot prepare whilst reading. Cooking on the stove top is out. I end up with food all over the benches, etc. Eating a sandwich is out, spills stuff. I read whilst preparing veggies but I've cut myself more than once. I think I may have a problem.

    Every Family Has One...

I, too, have abrother that thinks prison is a place to go when you want to change religions (he's on his third religion). He's a drug addict as well. So he's the black sheep. I've got one of those weird uncles, you know, the one that is trying to sue everyone for bizarre reasons and is the one...

    The Thank You Thread

cajunmama - I LOVE good coffee! I'll drop in when I am in your neighbourhood as long as I get some good southern cooking as well! He who hates orange cheese hasn't had any decent southern cooking as of yet. Thanks, Martin. I do have a tough time being anyone other than me!

I thank everyone because it's all the different personalities and the intelligence that draws me here. I like to read what is written and either have a thought or a laugh.

    Which book scared you?

I read John Saul books when I was young and he made me look at my school mates in an entirely different way.... the devil lies within children, according to J.S.

How does your gender affect your reading?

Mr Michel - I wrote a paper about the differences in the brains between men and women - men display distinct lateralisation whereas women tend not to. Also, their (men) ability to perform visuo-spatial tasks at a higher rate than women. Women, however, use both hemispheres of the brain for...

    A town called Alice

Alice Springs Australia. Nice place. WW2 in custody of the Japanese soldiers, not a nice place. It's a good read, I think but romantically situated at times..

Pamela Anderson & her KFC boycott

I loathe KFC food anyway, so I've never had to worry about whether or not Pam has an issue. However, I don't like to hear about cruelty to animals. I cannot even look at a whole fish and then eat it. I'm a vegie. Not due to the slaughter issues, but due to the texture. Good ol' Pammy.
