How many people played Game Books?

I remember the Goosebumps ones. I used to borrow them from my brother all the time. Must go up to the attic and see if I can rescue them... The Goosebumps ones weren't exactly the same as the others by the sound of it. The ones I had may have been called "Choose You Own Scare" or Nightmare or...

    Natsuo Kirino: Out

Well, it's been a while since I read it, but I thought it was a great book (must try and reread sometime). To me the group seemed like "desperate housewives" trying to get free of their troubled family lives in quite extreme ways. I'd say some more... but I really don't remember enough...

Pet Hates. This is Room 101.

Bringing this thread back to life so I can vent. Bear with me... I absolutely loathe hackers. They ruin things for others and spoil the hard work of good people. Why am I bringing this up? A forum I frequent and have been with for over 2 years now, has been hacked by some people who just will...

    last.fm/audioscrobbler

It seems to keep popping up for me in the last week, so I went ahead and made an account. I'm listening to my music right now, so it's adding them as I go, but I don't have much on it as of yet. http://www.last.fm/user/tartan_skirt/

    Memoirs of a Geisha

Just saw the movie today so I can finally answer this question. :D It has been a while since I read the book, but I'll try my best to remember things. I didn't feel very satisfied with the transition from book to movie. The sisters' journey from their home village was rushed, Nobu had two...

    Recently Purchased/Borrowed

I know it wasn't directed at me, but I don't think it is the same person. Wikipedia doesn't have a date of death for the writer and when I searched for the other person it said he was in his 50's, and the writer would be older. Hope that helps. :)

    Let's see those Desktops

I have to admit it... mine is a book thing. :o It's the design from the paperback verion of Garth Nix's Lirael. It isn't avaliable on the HaperCollins site I got it from, but I have uploaded it to my image shack account: http://img162.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lirael0gb.jpg It used to be a...

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

In terms of books I guess my real guilty pleasure is actually buying books. I know I have around 50 unread on my shelves, but I can't resist a bargain book, especially one I want to read. :o

    Sci-Fi short story

With a Google search I turned up something that sounded similar, but I'm not sure since I can't find much. It might be Kaleidoscope by Ray Bradbury. I found a random comment on a website which said: Sound like it?
