Freya, at times you remind me so much of a (different) drippy wench I know, that it's down-right scary.
Hugs, cakes, well wishes, and a potent party tune. Again, I thank you all!

(Billy, the last verse is too good. thanks!)
Thank you, Ice. It just keeps getting better.
Will you please tell Phil that I expect a special gift from him? ;)
Thank you, Irene. Yes, I'm a Scorpio. By your tone, someone could mistakingly think you accused of being something unexcusable (like a Gemini) :p
And thank you Master. One...
Thank you kindly, one and all.
So far I've been lucky enough to get the next best thing to new books. New book shelves. :D
And my sister gave me one of those fake x-mas trees in a box. Should I take it out and play with it? (the tree, that is)
Anyway, the best present will be later on...
Thank you. For the reason you've given, I know how much that must have hurt. But my point is it makes no difference if it's Dan Brown, The Bible, or the Autobiography of Elmer Fudd. If you have a desire to read it, then read it without feeling pressured by someone elses opinion.

Read any or all if you are so inclined and form your own opinion, not influenced by anything you've read here.

I haven't bought many recently, but have managed to pick up:
Stonehenge- Bernard Cornwell
Fool's Fate- Robin Hobb
When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?- George Carlin
I hope to go on a buying binge soon!

Hello Mark, and welcome.
Have you reached the spot where the character of J.Strange is introduced yet? If not, you may want to read on a bit more. But if you have and are still not enjoying it, I say chuck the thing.
I enjoyed it very much (as I've posted numerous times) but why spend the...
Thank you. It's been some time since I've bought an album (yeah, yeah, I know) but I plan on tracking this one down soon.
And Irene, I guess I could do an online search, but have you any idea what Brian May has been up to of late?

I can understand why you would do that, but the effort really is worth it. The prose alone makes it worth while. It's not a book that you should give thought to what's going to happen on the next page. If you're looking for a crescendo, you may not find it. But in my case I was happy riding the...
I wonder how Elton John let one slip by him.
DS, have you given Brothers in Arms a listen then?
Right now I'm listening to the melodic stylings of one Ronnie Montrose. I'm quite sure most the forum members not living in California are saying to themselves, who's that? (or who cares?)...
I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's amazing what limits the human spirit can be pushed to and still endure.
I might go back and pick up Ada Blackjack. Thanks!
