I don't know what you've read, Mark so I'm just going to fire away!!!
Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
Book 1 - Gardens of the Moon
Book 2 - Deadhouse Gates (I am currently reading this)
The Prince of Nothing by R. Scott Bakker
Book 1 - The...
I read it about 10-12 years ago around the time of the Anne Rice craze. Details are sketchy. Various "historical" vampires appeared. The only 1 I can remember is a Chinese vampire that used to hop around.
I just finished the Cabinet of Curiosities
These guys rock! I'm hoping to read Still Life With Crows and Brimstone by June in time for the release of Dance of Death. Pendergast and D'Agosta are the team!
Cabinet of Curiosities blew Relic and Reliquary out of the water (imho). Eventually I...
Naked Lunch
I'm glad this film was in the poll, because I would definitely say it was the most bizarro movie I've ever seen. Trust me, Mulholland Drive makes perfect sense compared to this audio-visual hodgepodge.

Even readers who don't normally enjoy Arthurian legends will love this version, a retelling from the point of view of the women behind the throne. Morgaine (more commonly known as Morgan Le Fay) and Gwenhwyfar (a...
Books I've read to my kids
Cirque du Freak series - by Darren Shan (more teen-oriented but no sex)
Spooksville Series - by Christopher Pike
Shadow Zone series - by J. R. Black
Weird Zone series - by Tony Abbott
Monster Manor series - by Paul Martin (picture books - silly)
I feel that I must defend my local Library!
They take great care of me, fulfilling all my requests to (please) order new books. They have even gotten inter-library loans for books not in stock in their system. I get DVDs and Music CDs as well and they have a terrific collection. With a kid...
Symphony of the Ages
I read book 2 (Prophecy?) as well. I've gotta' say that I enjoy this series. Grunthor and Achmed help balance the romantic mushiness. I'll be reading book 3 soon (I hope). She's got another one coming out this summer "The Assassin King".
A few ideas
Hmmm.....I have analyzed your tastes and would suggest the following:
Hyperion by Dan Simmons
The Ring of Five Dragons by Eric Van Lustbader
Hidden Empire by Kevin J. Anderson
The Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
The Keep by...
Because my wife isn't the least bit interested in hearing me blab about the latest of the many novels I'm reading :( . So I figured I could blab to a bunch of total strangers on the internet. ;)
Greetings!
There's only a couple of harmless wackos here as far as I can tell. I haven't encountered any personal attacks thus far...of course it's only a matter of time
