I think that if you like Gemmell and Barclay you would like the following:
The Runelords by David Farland - Book 1 is titled The Sum of All Men
The Dragoncrown War by Michael A. Stackpole - Book 1 is titled Fortress Draconis
The King's Blades by Dave Duncan - Book 1 is titled The Gilded...
Greetings, Jermanfu!
I have read nearly all of the books on your list (never made it to Feist's Serpent War saga though). Looking forward to gabbin' 'bout Fantasy novels with ya'.
I've got this double-jointed elbow thing going on. Basically I can contort my elbow joints so that the bones sorta bend backwards...it's digusting and I can usually freak people out.
Also, I am quite the lummox and I have found that I have the ability to break darn near anything.
John Marco - The Jackal of Nar (10)
The Grand Design (10)
The Saints of the Sword (8)
The Eyes of God (9)
The Devil's Armor (9)
George R. R. Martin - A Game of Thrones (10)

Hey! I read that book a while ago, I liked it (easy read as I recall, I think I read it in about 4 or 5 days). Never got around to the rest of the series. Thanks for sparking my memories!
I read the first 3 Cirque Du Freak books with my kids, we liked 'em. Nothing offensive or inappropriate for youngsters (imo). Apparently there are now 9 or 10 books or so in the series.
Shan has a new book, Lord Loss coming out that is part 1 of a new series.
I know many readers have jumped off the Wheel of Time bandwagon. I have been disappointed in the last few books simply because of the lack of action. I just have too much of an emotional investment in the main characters to give up now. Also, I don't feel that this series is beyond...
This book holds nostalgic value for myself as well. This was one of the first Fantasy Novels I ever read back when I was a teenage lad (along with Dragons of Autumn Twilight, The Sword of Shannara and Pawn of Prophecy).
Thank you for your input on this book, I have not read it, but I do plan on getting to it eventually. I just wanted to welcome you to the forum, my fellow reader of Fantasy! :)
As if my "books to be read" list isn't long enough already! I challenge all published authors who visit the site to endorse their book to stick around. I will read the book if you stay an active member, ok?
Ooooh....ooooh...pick me! A few of us enjoyed The Rising by Brian Keene. Very fast-paced Zombie horror. I enjoyed it because the Zombies were not your usual mindless automatons (I don't want to give anything away though). It's a quick read and the sequel City of the Dead was just released...
