    Quote Forum

"Can we perhaps remove all the forums to do with books and just have several areas for quotations? It would be really good." - Stewart Most of the joking aside, I think your point is well made... although, I've been known to quote random poems and lyrics in threads.

I'll try your math on a few poems of my own and see what I come up with. I love combining mathematics with literature. I'm even working on a poem that symbolizes a palindromic sum!

    F. Paul Wilson

I have yet to read Adversary Cycle , but I spent some time with F. Paul Wilson at a writers boot camp last January. Interesting guy.

    Reporting from Lebanon

Sometimes I feel you are incapable of expressing compassion for individuals outside the U.S. borders. Just because someone is from Lebanon, doesn't mean he or she supports (or is a part of) a terrorist organization within Lebanon (which you do not support).

Thanks for reading and sharing your input. I look forward to hearing what Stewart has to say.

I think this poem would flow more naturally from the reader if you match your rhyming lines syllable for syllable. See below (syllable counts are in parens... like this) The matching of syllables is something I do with a lot of my poetry. It seems to help the lines roll off the tongue...

    New Poem--The Bite

But, aren't vampires and werewolves connected? I'm still reading The Historian (have you read it?), so I check back in here every once in a while to read your poetry because it shares that same vibe.

dark poetry eating through your brains

The imagery is great, but this poem(?) seems to lack structure, as if it's a a daily poetic blog entry.

    I am lost

I can see how relativity inspired this poem, which I think is great. It's kind of strange though, reading this poem again after all that's going on in Lebanon now. It takes new shape.

    I am lost

Me too. I posted a few poems a while ago, and they've kinda traveled south... with only a few responses. Hopefully more members will contribute and/or post comments in the "Writers Showcase" area in general.

    best concert

Nothing I've seen has topped the Nine Inch Nails concert last September.

    last/next concert ?

A few weekends ago I experienced Ozzfest for the first time. System of a Down was incredible, and played for two hours. Disturbed was alright, Lacuna Coil was okay. Almost all of the other bands sounded the same, but there were a few that shined above the others: A Life Once Lost, Bleeding...

    Reporting from Lebanon

Does anyone know if the U.S. is planning to intervene? Or are we still caught up in the North Korea/S. Korea/Japan/China/Russia/etc. fiasco? I have friends/relatives in the military, and so far they've heard nothing but talks/rumors of WWIII.

    Input?

What about success stories like Dan Brown? Brown wrote three miserable novels--all of which were failures--before breaking through with his fourth miserable novel, which seemed to spark interest (sales) in his prior failures. If only we could all be so lucky with our writing... Work a bit on...
