hmm, this "Gap" doesn't sound too good, and besides, The Wheel of Time became dead by the third book, so if its by the same author... he needs someone to tell him to stop!
well, u ill have to say Orson Scott Card, considering that no one can go without reading the ender series. though youshould check out hart's hope too, its a little adult, but good all the same!
id have to reccomend "The Last Dragonlord" you could read Eragon, but you can really tell its by a novice! not to mention the fact that its nothing new, its an immature version of a dash of Eddings, a pinch of Ursula, and a dab of creativity- nothin new as i said o yes i forgot about...
Piers Anthony made some pretty good books in the Xanth, but i guess all the amazing authors like terry goodkind, and david eddings blow him away! sry, and welcome, though im new here as well- just my first day!

Well, here goes...
1. David Eddings
1. Terry Goodkind
2. Tolkein
3. Ursula Le Guin, TA Barron, Orson Scott Card, Clement-Davis, Garth Nix, Phillip Pullman, and many more.
AND MAY I SAY THAT TERRY GOODKIND AND DAVID EDDINGS CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!!!.... thought u ought to know...
i read this book in the waiting room of the eye doctor, but i dont know if it was the same because it was incredibly easy and i finished it in like 45 minutes, probly less- it was only 150 pages or so? it was something like "wizard's school" sumthing not very original... i think- wasn't very...
