i'm sure a million people have mentioned that she is writing, or planning to write an enclopedia of all the chactacters.
Hogwards: a History would be interesting but she did mention the basics throughout the series.
If she published a catalog, i'm sure there would be a percetange of people...
I've been lacking exercise ever since i moved to the poconos (away from NJ, the land of walkingeverywhere) i'm moving to NYC for college, so i'll be getting more exercise through walking then. now, i weightlift every-other-day before going to bed. i try to get in 20 minutes of jumproping (think...
"The expression "Breakfast of Champions" is a registred trademark of General Mills, Inc., for use on a breakfast cereal product"
Breakfast of Champions - Kurt Vonnegut
glad to hear i'm not the only one!
it was mainly the lack of paragraph breaks... meaning that the different dialog/descriptions were together. it just doesn't captivate my attention long enough.
my copy of The Fountainhead is fullll of highlights/notes. i'm a bit OCD when it comes to this though
1. no pen marks unless they are perfect lines
2. no highlighting unles they are perfect lines. no color other than yellow because thats really the only color that doesn't make it harder to read...
i do tend to judge people by their reading choices. you bring up a valid point - that reminds me of my AP US teacher criticizing me for reading a fiction book. i actually prefer memoirs and nonfiction, but its not my fault that the majority of such is just dry and boring. looking back on it, he...
i'd love to start another book right away, but i just have to spend at least one or two days. i can't fully explain it; i guess my mind is still in the mode of the last book.
i finished a book at 4am last night.. once i started another book at 3am.. i think the latest was 6am, but mainly cause i couldn't fall asleep all night
Snape loved Lily - he asked Harry to look at him while he was dying so he could look into his eyes. (he has his mom's eyes) so essentially he died looking into the eyes of the person he loved.
i'm not sure about the magic - maybe Hagrid?
definatly read Catcher in the Rye considering the amount of references. i'm hoping to read Catch 22 before i start college since almost everyone except me has read that -_-
I do the same, except for the copyright page o.O
I feel that I understand the author's background and purpose of the novel better. I always liked the novel introductions in high school. I do not, however, enjoy the spoilers that might come with it
in terms of physically breaking in the...
don't you just love it when people joing bookandreader just to ask homework questions
i agree with mehastings, but i like your opinion too. the only thing i learned from AP English is that there are multiple answers to these types of questions. they are all correct as long as you back them up...
I completely agree, but plenty of people hate him. I loved the book when I was 12. I was nonchalant about it when i reread it for high school when i was 15. Most of the people that I could think of hating it are girls who have a obscure image of wealthy kids. (basically think that they are all...
i did not enjoy it as much as i thought i would. i suppose i didn't like the sci-fi elements tied in, even though i understand that those contributed to the sataric themes.
it took me a good 60 pages or so to actually get into the book.. however, i loved how it read like a novel and Capote dedicated a good portion of the book to vastly creating the "characters." everyone had their own distinct persona and background
