OMG that was Exactly what I was planning on posting as soon as I saw this thread! That woman was a B**!*!!!.. ohh she pissed me off. Of course, she was a well written character, but ooh did I hate her.
Most of my book buying has been online, but I often go to Hastings and browse there for either catchy bargain books, used books, or just interesting titles-- if i find something that isn't bargain or used that i like I'll go to amazon to buy it, since it's always cheaper, tax and shipping free...
I remember reading a short story in school called "the Interloper" where two enemies find themselves trapped under a fallen tree, but instead of being rescued by their men they are visited by a pack of hungry wolves.
There certainly seems to be some foreshadow that Ron will die, and I think he will. I'm not sure who else might die.. my guess is the story will have a lot more than 2 deaths though.
At least two characters die in Book 7
Oh my! Listen to this latest Potter news:
----
LONDON (Reuters) - Children's author J.K. Rowling has revealed that at least two characters will die in the seventh and final installment of her bestselling Harry Potter series, but was...
Heck, if you're talented enough to release more than one good book a year I dont see why you shouldn't. Though it is definately a turn off when authors go ahead and publish any old crap they've written just because they know it'll sell.
I think it'll probably be announced winter 07 and released summer 08. I can't wait to finish it though! I didn't go to any of the other release parties, but I'm definately going to go to this one.

The Front Runner
Originally published in the '70s, it was an extremely controversial yet extremely popular book about a gay love story. The book stayed on the bestsellers list forever and has since sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. After the success of the...
I'm constantly searching for hot "Bargain Book" buys, but I rarely buy a book at regular price unless it's something I just have to have or that the library doesn't have. I work at a library though so lately I've just been checking out.
Those two deserve their praise in my opinion.
One of your selections, Cell, is hardly overrated though. If anything underrated, I don't think I've read a single praise review for the book. But it was at least decent... once again IMO.
A little trick I sometimes do is when I'm bored either tell myself or have a friend read a book with me for only an hour and after that discuss it. Theres rarely ever much to discuss but if it's a good book I definately get involved in it during that time and will finish it.
Also try not to...
I gotta agree with Beer.. how are we suppose to know which book to vote for if we haven't heard of them? The answer: we don't. We only vote for the books we've heard of. Plot summeries aren't good enough to ensure people vote according to what interests them. If we were able to discuss the...
I mostly buy hardbacks, but only if they're used or "bargain priced" rarely would I buy a hardcover book at new price unless it's the latest book from Stephen King or some other book that looks relentlessly tempting.
