I saw 'Ninja Resurrection' for a "cheap" price by comparison to other anime but I'll probably skip it then and look into the series more before I contemplate to purchase it or not.
It sounds to me that the translations could have a lot to do with it. I didn't notice any greater difference in the prose between the swedish translation of "Die Verwandlung" and "Der Process".
The swedish translation of "Amerika" that I read had however long sentences that I had to read...
It seems like a case of artistic freedom. The reviews on Amazon implies that the books wasn't written by a fan of the games and the books aren't exactly praised.
The games have been made into books though. I haven't read them so I'm not sure if Boo remains but from what I've read the author made Minsc a red head.
Dandy, as long as big brother keeps his shoe-horn away.
There's a lot of pornographic websites on the Internet so it's not strange that they are "prioritized" rather than "socially constructive" groups.
"Irréversible" has had complaints on the stereotypes regarding homosexuals and the rape.
Most rapes supposedly takes place in homes and the rapist is someone that the victim knows. I don't know, it might not be supported by the statistics but that could be because there's a large hidden...
Welcome to the forum of the colour octarine, Umbrella.
I don't believe in killing bugs either. Once I saw a couple of bugs called "skogsdödgrävare" (necrophorus investigator) crawling on a blind mice baby that kept squealing and when I made effort to avoid stepping on them I might have...
I recommend "In Defence of Global Capitalism" (Till världskapitalisens försvar) by Johan Norberg. It's subjective but it's a lot more humble than "No Logo", brings up arguments from the other side and in my (subjective) opinion it manages to create a great balance in a subjective kind of way...
Can't understand Japanese but like most I've had a short language lesson from "Shogun" so I should be able to say that I don't understand at least.
I'm not sure that I would say that "Mononoke" is more complex than "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", I think that it's quite straightforward in its'...
I didn't watch it.
It sounds like "The Drowned World" which I'm currently reading. Perhaps these girls are fans of Ballard. A theory on the part about "going crazy" in this book is that humans might have biological memories from the era with similar climate.
An aborted foetus blackmails his mother to read for him on the phone, which leads to a journey to the kingdom of death to kill him again.
The style is dark, violent, gloomy and very entertaining.
Read more about it and see a sample page on Andersson’s website.
Hay, The only animated movie that comes in mind at the moment to have long scenes of that kind without dialogue is “Akira”.
“Blood the Last Vampire” and “Grave of the Fireflies” could possibly manage to create similar moods. The latter is a more or less unusual anime as the setting is the...
Ghost in the Shell is wonderful and together with Blade Runner it must be one of the best action movies with a decent plot.
The brutality in “Maléna” is impressive. The actress in the role of Maléna is also in “Irréversible”. Violence almost seems like a trademark to her but she’s been in a...
