Night time reading: Can you do it? Do you do it?

I do, if I am not too tired by the time I get to do it at around 11 pm.

    Reading with noise

actually, I should clarify, I can't read with the TV on; it tends to distract me and I tend to focus more on the TV than the book that I am reading. I have reread whatever I have just read; it's annoying.

    Reading with noise

I actually enjoy having a bit of noise when I read; tend to read better when I have a bit of music in the background, not too loud or I can't concentrate. Sometimes it helps just to have something soft in the background, but I tend to zone out and forget about my surroundings and just focus on...

    Last seen...

Last movie that I saw was Crash and I saw that at home. Thought it was a good movie, but I have to re-watch it in order to give an honest review of the movie.

Who is your all-time favourite movie star ??

I don't think I have a favourite actor persay, but I really do enjoy the characters that Philip Seymour Hoffman portrays on screen. I tend to look at the quality of the movie rather than who is front of the camera. I know it's stupid, but I would rather watch a quality film than a film just...

Do you buy, borrow or take out from the library?

I usually borrow, although, I do like to get my hands on the brand new copies of the books and before the pages are all messed up. When I have money, I go and buy a couple new books, before I go and purchase clothes, which seems to be an afterthought of mine.

    May Readings

A much more productive month than April: *Dog handling : a novel (not something I would recommend; took me quite a while to read the book and by the end, I was wondering why I had even bothered to read it) *Size 12 is not fat (excellent read and I really enjoyed it; might consider buying the...

    Forum Etiquette PMs

As a member, I am really turned off by the fact that we are at all discussing this. Why can't you guys just let things be the way that they are instead of carrying on a very stupid discussion, imo. First of all, you are wasting space on the server and secondly, who really cares how the mods...

    Summer library sales

I wish they did :( They have sales at other branches, but not at the branch that I frequent.

What the Hell?! Post deletion blows!

Not that I am taking sides here on any front, I have to agree with mods and the admin on this. This is their site and they can choose what to do with what they want to. Unfortunately, that means that the membership have to play by the rules they have set up. I have been involved with a few...

    New Site Design - Why?

And how would you like it if you went to click on something on the right side only to hit the scroll feature on your browser? You probably would be complaining that it wasn't user friendly that way.
