    remember your first chapter book?

I think it was at the end of grade one or the beginning of grade two when I started to read "chapter books" (I don't like the name and classify them as easy novels) and the first ones that I read were from the Ramona series by Beverely Clearly. The first book that I remember buying was Ramona...

    Wonderful, wonderful books

I find that my bus trips that I take between Kamloops and Abbotsford seem to fly by when I'm into a good book. I spent 3 and a half hours this afternoon on the bus and I read the entire way and the time just seem to melt away. I managed to read a number of pages of the book that I am...

Favorite fiction and nonfiction sports books

The Game by Ken Dryden is an excellent book. He's a former goalie for the Montreal Canadiens who looks at his coach and teammates of the era, the politics of Quebec, and a rare insiders view as to what goes on in a dressing room. Excellent and highly recommended.

Apparently I won't be getting it the day of, but probably the Monday after it is released. I hope I can get down by the end of the week so I can pick up my copy; all is dependent on when my family shows up at the house at Sun Peaks. maybe I can take a trip down on Monday and pick it up on...

    Good place to buy books?

Coles/Chapters (they are the same company, just different names) for my brand new books, but I sometimes go to a used bookstore for some of my selection as well. When I go to the used bookstore, I usually go to see what they have before I purchase something, if at all. If I go to purchase...
