While I would love the final book to be released this summer, I have read that with the fifth movie being released near July 13, Scholastic and Bloomsbury don't want to tramp on Warner Bros. parade. And it seems likely that this would be the case and I wouldn't expect a release date to be...
I don't think its going to be released on July 7th, as it is the second anniversary of the London Bombings (its the equvialant to 9/11 in North America). Also I believe the 5th movie is being released around that date anyways.
chapters.indigo.ca is allowing customers to find out where readers can pre-order the book once the date is announced.
I don't think its going to be on July 7th, as it is the second anniversary of the London Bombings and it would be somewhat disrespectful to release a book on such a date and...
While I have read the thread that is question and did feel offended by what he said to that person, I felt that it was a legitmate debate and it did get out of hand and was handled by mods approiately. And yes, I do realize that it is how this person feels about female authors and while I wish...
So what book delights were you given during the holiday? Was it a couple of books that you were dying to have or was it gift cards for your favourite bookstore?
I received The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon and Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy.
Probably somewhere between 30 and 50, depending on what I am doing. Now that I am starting my cataloguing job, I don't think I will have as much time to read. But then there are the trips on the bus to and from work and the Greyhound trips between Kamloops and Abbotsford that I will get a lot...
My favourite female authors include:
• Margaret Atwood (I love how she gets into ones soul and makes one think about life in general and engrosses her reader)
• J.K. Rowling (writing children's books and making adults fall equally in love with her writing clearly screams talent. Also writing...
I avoid them just because of the length; too cumbersome to deal with. I really find them too expository for me and they just seem to ramble by the end.
A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks
Searching for Bobby Orr by Stephan Brunt
Before I Wake by Robert J. Wiersema
The Stone Carvers by Jane Urquhart
Flirting with Pride & Prejudice: Fresh Perspectives on the Orginal Chick-Lit Masterpiece edited by Jennifer Crusie
What if we can't get the exact edition from our library? I am short on funds and can't really afford to buy any new books at present (been chided by my sister for buying too many DVDs and books over the last while) and the only way I can get my books, unless I save up for a book (I do have a lot...
One of my personal favs is "Why did you apply for this job?" If there could be such a mundane question. I would love to answer them "because I needed a job?!" Clearly you can see that I really don't like that question when they ask me it and I never seem to answer it quite the way they want it.
Since we are into a new tv season, it would be interesting to see what you are into this year, especially with the crop of new shows. As for me, these are the new shows that I am currently watching:
• Brothers and Sisters
• Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
• Ugly Betty
• Men in Trees
It isn't...
