I just finished reading Domain a few days back and i found it to be an enthralling yet deeply horrifying experience. I loved the way he used a mentally scared person as the MC and how he portrayed a world driven mad by nuclear holocaust.
I also just finished reading Sepulchre which again uses...
i absolutly love this trilogy, no elves, no dwarves, just magic, and peeps, and a clever plot, and an amazing cast of characters.
I'd recomend it to anyone.
i have also heard that she plans on writting her next couple of books in a totally different world which will be interesting to see...
i totally agree, the series has gone on too long, but still i want to know how it ends, DAMNIT!!!
having read a new spring, very good book by the way, i can guess what one of the others will be, Rands father as he joins the Companions and marries and finds rand on dragonmount...
what...
i've read all of eddings books except for the crystal gorge and their are issues i have with the way the he and his wife write together, the plot is generally different each series but the same characters pop up time after time (silk/ stragen) (ehlana/ ce'Nedra) (kurik/ durnik)and so on. :mad...
off topic
i've read the three trilogies and their is a new one just begining that i am planning on purchasing, i found that reading the live ship traders helped clear up some gaps in my world knowledge of hobbs reality and the tawny man trilogy was spot on for action and adventure.
the lack...
i think bi-centenial man was a short stroy published in one of the many SF mags that Asimov used... if you liked the two movies then there are several Outer Limits episodes that you should see that based on several of his other ROBOT short series
I liked The Redemption of Althalus but this new series - The Dreamers - is very good, but my favourite has absolutely got to be Belgarath the Sorcerer. It's EPIC!
their is a really funny pisstake of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings that i read once... damn good book..
my first comedy book was Men at Arms by Terry Pratchet (spelling??)
thats an interesting bit of sci-fi/fantasy trivia i am going to have to remember.
i agree that Goodkind really has to try to pull the series back together in chainfire especially as he has all eight of the wizard's rules out and about now.
The pensieve was loaned to snape by dumbledore...
The magic protecting Harry is based on his mother's love for him which is aneathema to Lord V as he exists on hate and vengence.
i am looking forward to the next book and what happens now that Lord V is out in the open.
Just put the trilogy on order at the bookshop. I remember reading Homeland when i was a kid and at that point i thought it was an amazing book and i just never got around to reading the others.
I am looking frorward to it.
I've only read the first 3 books, i was only 11/ 12 at the time and was totally discusted when i got to the rape scene, even thought of burning the book but i'm glad i didn't. The whole trilogy, was a fantastic read that is rare to find in many fantasy authors who seem to use the genre to churn...
i think i remember watching the tv adaption, and having read these comments (combined with my reading slump) i shall go down the bookshop and put them on order, get all thre and then there is no waiting invovled after ive started them.
