is this true? a sea monster?

I was almost convinced by the creationist argument that this was a plesiosaur carcass which disproves the theory of evolution, but then I came across this argument (see link) and now I'm not so sure..... http://members.aol.com/paluxy2/plesios.htm

    What's your favourite events?

:) On reflection, that sounds lovely, and just the escape I need! Can I come too? (My birthday is on the 26th, so I know how you feel) :)

    What's your favourite events?

I'm with lies on this one; I can't be bothered with all the hypocrisy and commercialism which surrounds "the season of [supposed] goodwill". While I like to see people enjoying themselves, and it's always nice to spend time relaxing with friends and family, I much prefer to pack my bags and...

when you found out the truth.

I didn't do any of that stuff, apart from whiddershins around a virgin goat and I've got a four-year-old. My wife has some questions to answer when she gets home!

when you found out the truth.

No Themistocles, Santa doesn't bring toys to lucky girls and boys, only good ones. So all toyless poor kids clearly need to learn how to behave themselves.

    BBC's The Big Read - Top 100

People don't talk like that? Why, my head is in quite a muddle, and I'm going to freshen my wits with a quick turn. It's a dull day out, but the air isn't bad so I'm sure to be gay in a while. (With sincere apologies to Ms Alcott's estate)

"The Alchemist" by Paul Coelho is a nice summer read.

    Experiencing Difficulties.

I did find it painfully slow to load earlier.

    Favorite places to eat?

We have a traditional South African restaurant nearby where you can try things like Antelope, Ostrich and even Crocodile. Fantastic.

    Are you a fan?

Ditto; Album "Dark Side of the Moon" Song "Wish You Were Here". Also think some of the earlier Syd Barrett stuff is fun (eg Bike - I've got a clan of gingerbread men. Here a man, there a man, lots of gingerbread men. Take a couple if you wish. They're on the dish). That man...

    Plans for the weekend?

I'm off to Wales in the morning, to climb up the North Ridge of Tryfan in Snowdonia. It'll probably be wet and windy - just how I like it. :D I love mountains! :D

"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent"? Yes, and "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit." ;)

Don't worry Hobitten, my mistake. Good luck with the rest of the tournament; as an Evertonian I hope that Tommy Gravesen scores the winning goal in the final (now that The Roonster can't - boo hoo!) :)

    Another Newbie..

Hi Rigana. Your English is excellent - probably better than mine, and certainly better than my German. Wilkommen!

    Anyone got any ideas?

 So, Freya? The suspense is killing me. :)

That's not what I said hobitten, in fact just the opposite. Any team which found itself a goal up with a minute remaining, and so in the next round, would do everything to protect that lead - deliberately conceding a goal in those circumstances would never happen, regardless of history.

Yea, well it must have been the same nasty Italian that I had a nasty incident with. He gets everywhere that one nasty Italian. All of the others are probably pefectly decent and sensitive people.

    Best short story

Must mention Raymond Carver; he's written lots of wonderful short stories but "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love" is sublime.
