As unpopular as it is, I still like Jordan.

If Wizards 1st Rule is his best, I shudder to think how bad the rest of the series was. Never made it past book 1 - I still wake in the dead of night in a cold sweat dreaming I am trying to read Goodkind. The horror! The horror!

Following in your footsteps - reading Farseer at the moment (1st time) & have Rhapsody on the shelf ready to go.

The difference between Jordan & Goodkind in my opinion is that Jordan keeps the pages turning for me while Goodkind resulted in me having that little line of dribble running from my mouth as I nodded off to sleep.... Horses for courses

I think I read somewhere he is trying to finish the series with 12 books, but that it could end up being 13. Knowing Jordan (& how bad his editor is) it could end up at 14...

Fantastic! I will buy Jordan whenever he releases! I've only read up to 9 in WOT, & no prequels etc, but when they're all done, I'm locking myself away for a month to enjoy!

Funny how different things appeal to different people! I HATED Goodkind. Couldn't for the life of me understand how anyone liked him. Having said that, I loved early Eddings, Jordan, Weis & Hickman who others HATE. Guess there's a market for everyone.
