I take it all back! Past Mortem's great! Ok, not quite up there with your Charles Dickens or whatever, but it is a good read, and makes the interesting (and very true) point that bullies create bullies. My only criticism would be I think he makes it a bit obvious who the killer is and thats half...
I've seen the film and I have to say KristoCat's comment is still lost on me! :p
(But you've got a cool avatar so....where d'you get it? Do they do black and white ones?)
I thought it was a brilliant film. (LOVED Batman Forever as well). Brilliant acting all round although Katie Holmes...
Thanks Wabbit!
I'm worried about Thelma. Has anyone heard from her? I know she was planning to make a trip to London in July, just not sure when exactly. I just pray she hasn't been caught up in all of this.
You're all lovely! Your show of support means a lot. Thank you!
I normally get off at Edgware road (one of the stations that was hit), but was off sick today and am so glad I made the decision to stay at home rather than struggling in. I've been frantically ringing my friends and family all...
Well I think this is great news for London. I'm a bit surprised actually, I thought France were the clear favourites. Makes success even sweeter! :)
I think this would be a good one to put to a vote actually - as to whether people think it will be a good thing for London. And I would do...
Hi Snowwhite!
Can't say I'm into Horror much (I scare too easy) but I could talk about Harry Potter day and night (if you want?) :p
Can't wait for the new one....not long now :D
Er, hi! Have to say I never realised we were supposed to introduce ourselves first either, I just stumbled in and started posting, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one getting everything back-to-front!! :) Nice to meet/ know you all anyway.
Wow! How can I compete with that post?
Well I'm no expert, but I have read 2 of Ben Elton's books and am half-way through the third 'Past Mortem' at the minute.
I like Ben Elton a lot as far as script writing and stand up goes (- does anyone remember the one about public toilet roll...
I've been in a long distance relationship for 2 years now and it is hard, it's also a long and boring drive up the M40, but it could be worse, it could be glasgow! :p
Laser Quest
I play pool (pint in hand) - does that count???
I played tennis 3 times last week....for the first time in 5 years - feeling the pain now!!! Partly also caused by going to Laser Quest last weekend. (Lots of swatting down, trying to hide behind 2 foot walls). I was previously a...
I think that's the sign of a really good book - that as soon as you get to the end you instantly want to re-read it - it's a very good sign that the desire to is there -only you don't because you know that would probably ruin it.
I think re-reading books is fine as long as you've left it for...
I do like Shakespeare but have to say i find the language quite difficult. I have tried to read them on my own but have failed miserably, so this is just going on what I did at school - but they are good stories and that is why they make such good plays/ films.
Favourite Shakespeare plays are...
Hi everyone!
I went to see Billy Elliott the musical last weekend and thought it was absolutely brilliant!! It's way funnier (and ruder!) than the film whilst still retaining the basic essentials of the plot. There's a lot more visually stunning and complex dance routines as well, which could...
